BonnevilleHighSchooltostudyEnglishandfashiondesignatBrighamYoung
University.Buthertruelovestartedattheageof10whenshebegancuttingher
brothersandsistershairandfinallycametofruitionwhensheattendedVonCurtis
Academy.AsAllisongainedhersalonexperiencesatsomeofthemostpremier
salonsshelearnedabouttheimportanceofcustomerserviceand“wowing”the
client.Whileherhairandmakeupskillswereinhighdemand,shestillfeltshehad
moretogiveontheeducationalsideofthingsandshereceivedherinstructor’s
certificate.ShemanagedBathandBodyWorksforseveralyearsthusacquiringa
strongbusinessbackground.Shealsoaddedtohermakeupknowledgeworkingfor
Nordstrom.Allisonhasaccomplishedallofthiswhileraisingherfourchildrenwith
herhusband,TylerPrice,whosupportedhereveryendeavor.
Shehashelpedstartfoursuccessfulschoolsforanothercompany,whereshe
trainedthousandsofstudents.DuringherlastfouryearswiththatcompanyAllison
hadtwostudentsgetnominatedfor“StudentStylist”intheNorthAmerican
HairstylingAwards(NAHA),aphotographycontestinwhichthousandsapply,
essentiallytheAcademyAwardsforthehairworld.Allisonherselfhashada
nominationin“Makeover”fortheNAHA’s.Theyearshereceivedhernomination
shewastheonlyAmericaninhercategory.ShealsowontheStarsMakeover
Competitionin2006attheChicagoMidwestBeautyShow.

RequirementsforEnrollment
Aprospectivestudentmusthaveproofofagewithacopyofbirthcertificate,
passport,militaryidentification,driverslicenseorothersimilarformof
documentation.Aprospectivestudentmustbeatleast16.5yearsoldwithproofof
highschooldiplomaoritsequivalent.
Application:AFour-StepProcess
1. Thefirststepisanopportunityfortheprospectivestudent(andparents,
familyand/orsignificantothers)totourtheacademy,hearaboutthe
curriculum,andlearnaboutourpoliciesandforustolearnmoreabout
theprospectivestudents.Thisstepisoptional,butrecommended.
2. Thesecondstepincludestheprospectivestudentreceivingtheadmission
applicationandAustinKadeAcademy’sStudentsHandbook/Manual.
3. Thentheprospectivestudentmustcompletetheadmissionapplication,
readthehandbook,andreturntheapplicationtotheacademy.Upon
returnoftheapplicationformthatincludesaheadshot,proofofageand
admissioneducationalrequirementsalongwithpaymentofthe
ApplicationFee($50),aspotisheldforthestudentintheclassstartdate
oftheirchoice.
4. YouwillbecontactedbyaDirectortomakeanappointmentforsigningof
theEnrollmentContractandestablishingaformoftuitionpayment.
AustinKadeAcademydoesnotrecruitstudentsalreadyattendingoradmittedto
anotherschoolofferingasimilarprogramofstudy.
AllcourseswillbetaughtinEnglish.
AustinKadeAcademydoesnotdiscriminateonthebasisofcolor,race,religion,
creed,sex,age,financialstatus,militarystatus,sexualorientationorethnicorigin.
TheAcademyreservestherighttorunabackgroundcheckand/orrandomdrug
testinguponmandatorycompletionofauthorizedforms.

Transfer/Re-EntryStudents
Thefollowingrequirementsmustbemetbythestudentswhotransferorre-enter
AustinKadeAcademyfromaCosmetology,NailTechnology,EstheticsorInstructor
inTrainingprogram.
• Certifiedtranscriptsofhoursearnedandrequirementspreviously
completed.Alltransferstudentsmustearnaminimumof200hoursat
AustinKadeAcademy.
• Completionofstandardadmissionrequirementsandfees.Akitmaybe
purchasedthroughtheschoolifneeded.
• Transferstudentswillpay$10.00foreveryhourneededtocompleteeach
prospectiveprogramatAustinKadeAcademy.
• Re-EntryStudentswillpay$10.00foreveryhourneededtocomplete
eachprospectiveprogram.
• TransferandRe-EntrystudentwillstartschoolintheFreshmanProgram.

RefundPolicy
AnapplicantnotacceptedbyAustinKadeAcademywillbeentitledtoa
refundofallmoniespaidlesstheapplicationfee($50).
• Allenrollmentfeesandtuitionpaidwithacreditcardwillbechargeda1.5%
feeforprocessing.
• Ifastudentcancelshis/herenrollmentcontractanddemandshis/her
moniesbackinwriting,withinthreebusinessdaysofthedateofsigningthe
enrollmentcontract,allmoniescollectedbyAustinKadeAcademylessthe
applicationfee($50)willberefunded.Withawithdrawalanyscholarship
thathasbeengiventoastudentbyAustinKadeAcademyisnullandVoidand
willneedtobepaidbacktotheAcademyinfull.Thecancellationdateis
determinedbythepostmarkonthewrittennotification,orthedatethe
informationisdeliveredtotheAcademyadministrationinperson.This
policyappliesregardlessofwhetherornotthestudenthasactuallystarted
training.
• Ifastudentcancelshis/herenrollmentwithinthreebusinessdaysofsigning
theenrollmentscontract,butpriortoenteringclasses,he/shewillbeentitled

attendanceatleasteverythirty(30)days.Terminationwilloccur14days
fromthelastdateofattendanceasperthemonitoring.

Suppliesandequipmentwillnotbereleaseduntilallfinancialobligations
havebeenpaidinfull.
IftheAcademyispermanentlyclosedandisnolongerofferinginstruction
afterastudenthasenrolled,thestudentwillbeentitledtoapro-ratedrefund
oftuition.
Ifacourseiscancelledsubsequenttoastudent’senrollmenttheAcademy
will,atitsoption:provideeitherafullrefundofallmoniespaidorprovide
completionofthecourse.Studentswillbeindividuallynotifiedofanyschool
closure.Aplanwillbesubmittedforeachstudenttoattendalocalschoolthat
willprovidethesametypeofprogramastudentiscurrentlyenrolledin.A
listofenrolledstudentswillalsobegiventotheappropriateagenciesifthe
Academywouldcloseforanyunseenreason.Recordswillbekeptbythe
AcademyfortheapplicabletimeframesetforthbyIdahoLawandthen
disposedofaccordingly.Astudenthastherighttoappealtheirrefund
calculations.Toappealastudentmustsubmitallpertinentfactsand
informationinwritingwithin10daysofterminationbytheAcademy
Administration.Afinaldeterminationwillbemadewithin45days.All
decisionswillbefinal.
Iftheacademycancelsacourseand/orprogramandceasestooffer
instructionafterstudentshaveenrolledandinstructionhasbeganthe
Academywillprovideapro-ratedrefundforallstudentstransferringto
anotherschoolbasedonthehoursacceptedbythereceivingschoolor
providecompletionofthecourseorprogram.

ReturnofTitleIVFinancialAid
IfastudentreceivingTitleIVfundsceasestobeenrolledinapaymentperiod,the
federalgovernmentmandatesthatAustinKadeAcademymustdeterminethe
amountofTitleIVprogramassistancethatthestudentearnedasofthedate
enrollmentceased(withdrawaldate).TheTitleIVprogramsthatarecoveredbythis
lawandthatAustinKadeAcademyparticipatesinare:FederalPellGrants,Stafford
LoansandPLUSLoans.Whenastudentwithdrawsduringapaymentperiodor

Astudentmayappealtohaveeligibilityrestoredifthereareextenuating

tosuccessfullycompletethepaymentperiod;suchsituationsmayinclude
unplannedmedicalconditionsorvictimofaseverecrime.Studentswhowishto
appealanunsatisfactorystatusdeterminationmustsubmitalettertotheFinancial
Aidadvisor.Thislettershoulddescribeanycircumstancesthatthestudentfeels
