EIGHTY-FIRST REGIMENT OHIO VOLUNTEER INFANTRY,

This Regiment was organized in the State of Ohio, at large,
in
August
and September, 1861, to serve three years. The original members (except
veterans) were mustered out September 26, 1864, by reason of expiration of
term of service, and the organization, composed of veterans and recruits,
retained in service until July 13, 1865, when it was mustered out in accordance
with orders from the
