22,144 Nights of Affordable Housing Provided

domestic violence and are then forced into
homelessness face unique barriers in developing
and maintaining a sustainable lifestyle.
Rosenthal Family Lodge (RFL)
(RFL) is an emergency shelter that offers victims
immediate assistance and up to 120 days of shelter. RFL
assists families in breaking the cycle of homelessness due
to violence. RFL provides individual, group and family
trauma counseling, individual case management, and
assistance transitioning to permanent housing. RFL also
houses Family Rescue’s 24-hour bilingual crisis line for
those seeking services any time of the day or night.
In 2016 RFL provided services to:

606 Orders of Protection
3,941 hours of direct client
services
(LAP) offers legal advocacy to its clients at no cost. LAP offers
victims access to key resources necessary to navigate through
the criminal justice system. Advocates act on behalf of victims
and their children, ensuring their safety and rights are
protected under the Illinois Domestic Violence Act. Staff
members provide court accompaniment, advocacy with law
enforcement and judicial personnel, assistance in obtaining

maintain independence. COR offers community-based
support groups for survivors of domestic violence in both
English and Spanish. COR does extensive outreach in the
Latina community, a population often neglected and
underserved, and conducts community awareness and
prevention seminars and workshops related to
understanding the dynamics of domestic violence and
preventing it from continuing.
