Intro to State
My state name is Georgia ,and the capital is Atlanta. Georgia is in the Southeast region it
borders Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Usually in the summer the climate is 90/69
degrees ,the spring is 75/51 degrees ,the fall is about 76/54 degrees ,and winter is about 68˚F/36
degrees. Georgia ‘s population is 9,685,774 ,that’s alot. Their economy is cars, cotton,and Coke-OCola .The size is 59,441 sq. miles . Some sports team are,Atlanta Braves (MLB), Atlanta Falcons
(NFL)Atlanta Hawks (NBA)Atlanta Thrashers (NHL)Georgia Force (AFL)And Atlanta Dream
(WNBA).
State History
Georgia is the 4th state .It was found in 1788. One Native American tribe that was in
Georgia was Cherokee. That’s what the statehood and Native American tribes are.

His wife’s name is Sandra Dunagan . They
have4children. Nathan Deal became governor on
January 10 ,2011. Nathan went to Mercury University
for collage. Before he became governor he was a court
judge and an Army crime prosecutor.
State Landmark
The name of this landmark is Stone
Mountain. The pictures on this mountain is pictures
of the three leaders of the Confederacy. Stone
mountain is in Northern Georgia .It’s bigger than a
football field.
