gamescom 2016:
Saturn begins with advance sales for the gaming
highlight of the year
Ingolstadt, 30.03.2016: “Life is a game. Are you in?” Saturn will
start with pre-sales of tickets for gamescom 2016, the world's
largest trade fair and event highlight for computer and video
games, by using this slogan. All the big names in the gaming
scene will be meeting in Cologne again from August 18 – 21.
Anyone interested in attending should get their tickets now.
Starting on April 4, tickets can be purchased at all 155 Saturn
stores in Germany at low presale prices.
Every August, the Cologne exhibition halls transform themselves into
the epicenter for the international game community. 345,000 visitors
from 96 countries were counted at the last gamescom, a record that
could well be broken once again this year. With its official motto
“Celebrate the Games!” anticipation on the mega event is already
being fueled today. Its visitors will be the first to try out the latest games
of the year before official sales begin. People will be particularly excited
about the latest trends in virtual reality gaming.
Reduced presale tickets starting at 8 euros per day
Now that everyone will be rushing to gamescom soon, you should
make sure you get your presale ticket at your next Saturn store. You’ll
benefit from the advance price and won’t have to stand in line at the
box office. As always, different prices apply depending on whether you
come on Thursday and Friday or on the weekend. The day tickets on
Thursday or Friday will then only cost 13.50 euros instead of 16 euros
(reduced price 8 euros), while day tickets for Saturday or Sunday cost
18 instead of 19 euros (reduced price 12.50 euros). Admission for

children age seven to eleven years (accompanied by an adult) is 7
euros. Lower priced family tickets are only available in advance for
25.50 euros (Thursday or Friday) or 30 Euros (Saturday or Sunday).
Tickets and public transportation tickets
Together with the pre-sale tickets, you’ll receive a free pass for arrival
and departure with the local transport associations Rhein-Sieg and
Rhein-Ruhr. As opposed to past years, the gamescom ticket itself can
no longer be used as a ticket. That means anyone who wants to take
the train or bus will need to have the extra transport ticket with them.
