The God Way to Wealth Chapter 01 – Vision of the Sleeping Giant

The God Way to Wealth
Chapter 01 – Vision of the Sleeping Giant
Many years ago I had a vision which had a very profound effect on my life
and ministry and on the direction that we took. It was in the early days of
GMR/AMI when we really didn’t know what it was to be yet and when I didn’t
fully understand what a mandate was yet. This vision became the very first
mandate that I felt God ever gave me.
In this vision I saw a giant lying down on the ground. It seemed as though
he was pinned down and couldn’t move.
It reminded me of a story I read many years ago called Gulliver’s Travels.
Have you ever read that book? Gulliver visited these different lands, and one
time he was amongst the giants. Another time he was amongst some tiny
little people in a place called Lilliput.
These Lilliputians had caught him. He was lying on the ground and they had
tied him with ropes and pegged them to the ground. And there he lay, all
stretched out and helpless, although he was this great big giant. These little
people had captured him and trapped him and he couldn’t move.
That was the kind of picture I saw. I saw this giant lying there sleeping,
unable to move, covered in dirt and filth and tied down.
I thought, “This is a strange vision. What does it mean?”
The words ‘Sleeping Giant’ came to me. And the Lord said,
“This is a picture of my church. My church is lying asleep. My church has
been captured and overwhelmed by the forces of this world. It is covered
with dirt, garbage, and grime. The church is asleep and helpless, weak and
in captive to Satan and to the powers of the world.”
Then I saw as this Giant began to stir. He started to wake up and began to
move. I saw him lift first one arm, and shake off all the dirt and break the
ropes that were holding him. Then I saw him lift his other arm and break the
ropes. After this I saw him release his legs and he sat up. Then I saw him
stand, and throw all the dirt off and stand bold.

The vision changed and I saw this Giant again. He was no longer clothed in
rags and dirt, but he was clothed in golden armor with a sword in his hand.
He looked awesome and terrifying!
The Lord said, “The Sleeping Giant must awaken. He must put on the armor
of light, and he must become the mighty warrior to go forth in my name to
conquer the kingdoms of this world. My church must wake up. My church
must rise up and become militant!”
I said, “Lord where do I fit into it?”
He said, “Start by waking the Sleeping Giant. And when the Sleeping Giant is
awoken, begin by clothing him and putting armor on him, and equipping the
Mighty Warrior to go forth in my name.”
The First Mandate
The very first mandate of Global Ministry Resources was to wake the
Sleeping Giant. How did we do it?
We began to bring the prophets together and they began to pray and
decree. We began to go into coin warfare, hidden away from the world with
nobody knowing what was going on. God began to move and the Spirit
began to wake the Sleeping Giant. And as time progressed, the Lord gave us
the armor that we needed to equip the Church.
Training the Fivefold Ministry
And so the mandate to train the Fivefold Ministry, to raise up the Body of
Christ to be the Mighty Warrior, that mandate came to full fruition and the
full Fivefold Training mechanism that we put together in GMR/AMI was set
into motion. It was an awesome vision and an awesome mandate which will
continue until Jesus comes.
But today the church is rising up. Today there are apostles and prophets,
evangelists, pastors and teachers rising up. This is especially true of the
apostles and prophets who before were asleep, who didn’t exist, and the
church didn’t believe they existed anymore. But they are rising up and
beginning to take their place, and it has been such an exciting vision to see
the church come to life.

Finances Needed
But the Mighty Warrior needs something else, and this is something that has
plagued the church from the beginning. It is the one thing that has
destroyed ministry after ministry, starting right from the beginning.
What has that been? It has been a lack of financial provision; a lack of
financial ability to do in this world what God has called us to do. We have
the tools, we have the weapons and we have the power. But we don’t have
the financial resources to accomplish it.
And the church is going cap in hand and begging to the world. People are
going to beg a bank manager for a loan and saying,
“Please can you give us a loan so we can build a church; so we can start a
ministry?”
People are groveling to this world. The Mighty Warrior is standing on the
street corner with cap in hand saying,
“Please will you donate?”
This is not the way it should be! God never ever intended His people to live
and to walk in poverty. And so the Lord has given me a new mandate. He
said,
“Go and teach my people the way to wealth.”
I have taught people the Way of Blessing. I have taught them the Way to
Success. We have taught them how to minister effectively, but they don’t
know how to accumulate wealth. And wealth is going to be needed for the
Church to accomplish the End Times vision that God has given to it.
For the Mighty Warrior to rise up, and reach out and conquer this world for
the Lord, it is going to require a lot of financial provision. This is because we
live in a world where you cannot do anything without financial provision.
For a season the Lord led me to develop a new mandate that is dedicated
specifically to training God’s leaders how to create the wealth that is needed
to carry out this task.

Back to the Beginning
I have now added the new Business Mandate to my original Ministry
Mandate, and in this first Section I want to start presenting the new
business mandate. I want to start a new teaching series and it is going back
to the beginning.
We learned about Moses and how he took the children of Israel to the
Promised Land and how Joshua took the land. We also learned about David
and Solomon. But we learned all those things spiritually.
We are going to learn it again now where temporal things are concerned. We
are going to learn how the Body of Christ should rise up and should take the
wealth of this world.
The Lord has promised that the unjust will accumulate wealth, but they will
accumulate it for the just.
Wrong Method of Preachers
The Lord has promised and it has been prophesied again and again, that in
these End Times there will be a transfer of wealth from the wicked to the
church. And preachers have stood up there and have tried to preach it to
believers. They are trying to preach the way of prosperity.
You can go and see all the ministries out there that are preaching prosperity.
They have one message.
“This is your key to prosperity. Tithe more and give more offerings. Give
until it hurts.”
This is their key to prosperity.
How can poor people make the Church rich? People are giving all that they
have but they have nothing. Right now the wealth of this world does not lie
in the hands of the Body of Christ. The wealth of this world lies in the hands
of the wicked; of the underground, of the criminals and of the wealthy of this
world who have no regard for the Lord whatsoever.
It is time the Body of Christ rises up and takes the land. It must take the
land literally, by taking possession of the resources and the wealth of this
world as God intends.

CHAPTER 02
God’s Plan for Wealth

Chapter 02 - God’s Plan for Wealth
Right from the beginning of time, when God made Adam and Eve He put
them in a little place where there were a few plants growing. They had to
live in a little shanty hut. And they had to walk for miles to go and get
water, because you know you can’t expect the best.
The Bible says when God made this world He looked upon it and said it was
good. He looked a bit closer and said,
“Let me find the best spot that I can!”
And He took man and He put him in the best spot there was, right there in
the Garden of Eden where there was everything that they would ever need.
There was water, there was gold and there were treasures. There was every
possible thing that today we would consider wealth or resources that are of
value.
God never ever intended His creation to be poor. From the beginning, Satan
wanted to make sure that God didn’t bless His people. And right from the
beginning, the one thing that Satan wanted to do was to steal from Adam
and Eve what God had given them, so that he could control it.
And when they believed his lie, disobeyed God and took of the forbidden
fruit, who took control of this world? It was no longer man but it was Satan.
From that very time, God formulated a plan to bring man back to that place
of prosperity. You read the book of Revelation, which gives a picture of how
it is all going to end. You will see a re-description of the Garden of Eden. The
Lord wants the best!
The Promised Land of Blessing
And so God called out a nation of people. He called out Abraham from Ur of
the Chaldees to come and make a new nation of people. God showed him a
Promised Land and said,
“I’m giving this land to you and to your descendants forever.”
Abraham was not a poor man, not by any means. Why? Because when you
walk with the Lord prosperity is part of His blessing.

Well it was back then but something happened. What happened? I will get to
it shortly.
God called the nation of Israel. They were formed from the descendants of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and they went into captivity and were slaves in
Israel. But the Promised Land that God gave to Abraham was still His
inheritance for them.
And so God raised up his deliverer Moses and said,
“I want to take my people to the Promised Land; a land that flows with milk
and honey and where there is abundant provision.”
When they finally got to the border and they sent in spies to go and spy out
the land, they came back and said,
“We’ve never seen grapes that big. Man this land is awesome! It is truly
flowing with milk and honey. Everywhere we look it is so good and lush and
rich. Isn’t it wonderful what the Lord has provided?”
Plundering the Egyptians
God gave them a sign when they left Egypt. He put the Egyptians under
pressure that they wanted to get the Israelites out. God said to Moses,
“Go and tell them to ask for wealth from the Egyptians.”
They were given riches and money, jewelry and clothing and material. It is
unbelievable what the Egyptians gave to the Israelites! The Scripture says
that they plundered the Egyptians.
What is Egypt a picture of in the Scriptures? If you start looking at the
allegories, Egypt is always a picture of the world and the World System.
Here God’s people had plundered the World System. They had brought the
wealth of the world with them on their journey to the Promised Land that
flowed with milk and honey.
I mean they didn’t even have to wait until they got to the Promised Land.
The Lord was already giving them abundant provision right there.
He gave them promises. And as He bought them to Mount Sinai, He gave
them the commandments as well as a Covenant through Moses. The Lord
spoke to them and said,
By Les D. Crause

“You will be above all nations. You will be the head and not the tail; above
only and not beneath. People will bow to you, and everything that you touch
will prosper.”
Wow, does that sound like poverty to you? It doesn’t sound like poverty to
me.
The Lord never intended His people to be poor. Poverty was not created by
God. Poverty was created by Satan. And when the children of Israel were in
bondage to the Egyptians they lived in poverty. But when God broke them
free they left with abundant wealth.
It is time that we change our mindsets and our thinking to realize that God
wants us to be wealthy. But we have believed a lie.
The Blood Covenant
In the Old Testament Abraham entered into a Blood Covenant with God. We
have a scene where he cut some animals in half and laid them out, and he
walked through the pieces. We have taught on this elsewhere in the
Doorway to Life teaching.
God entered into a Blood Covenant with His people which were the nation of
Israel at that time. A Blood Covenant means that the two parties of the
covenant give themselves totally to each other. And when two people enter
into Blood Covenant, the covenant vow says,
“Whatever I have belongs to you. You can have it. It is yours freely.”
Well God is not poor. Heaven is not a poor place. They have so much gold
they just use it to pave the streets with because they don’t know what to do
with it.
God is the creator of the universe. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills the
Scripture says. And if we are in Blood Covenant with Almighty God, then
every single blessing and every good thing that He has becomes available to
us.
This was the promise that God gave to the nation of Israel. He gave them
abundant prosperity and blessing. He didn’t just give them a land, but He
gave them the best, the Promised Land. It was the land that was better than
any other.
By Les D. Crause

That was God’s provision. That was God’s desire from the beginning for His
people, but it changed. Did it? Did God change His mind? Did God stop
wanting us to prosper?
The Roots of the Flesh
There are a few verses in the New Testament that we pull out like ‘The love
of money is the root of all evil.’
This is actually a very important Scripture, because it teaches that there are
three roots to the flesh and we have taught this elsewhere. They are
bitterness, immorality and temporal values; the desire for things.
That is the love of money. It is temporal values. And what this verse is
dealing with is the sinfulness of needing things to make us happy when only
God can do that.
It is sin when things become an idol that we put before God. But when you
have God and you are walking in covenant with Him, you have everything
that you need any time that you need it.
Well it belongs to Him doesn’t it? Yes it does, but you can have it too
because you are in Blood Covenant with Him. It belongs to you just as much
as it belongs to Him.
The Jews and Wealth
And so the New Testament church arrived. And through the years Israel
embraced the idea that God wanted them to be wealthy. Even today, I dare
you to find anybody of Jewish descent who thinks he should be poor and
accepts poverty as a way of life.
They may not all use the right method to get their wealth, certainly not the
way we are going to teach it. But engrained in Jewish thinking is,
“I am meant to be blessed of God. I am meant to be wealthy.”
Yes many of them have suffered poverty, but in their thinking and their
mindset is the idea of wealth.
In America they call it ‘the American dream’. That seems to vary. Largely it
is temporal values and it certainly doesn’t seem to include the Lord. So yes I
am not promoting the American dream or the Jewish dream.

In fact Jesus had to take that away from His disciples because they were
getting it all wrong. He had to keep trying to show them. They kept saying,
“So Lord you are going to be the King now. You are going to restore the
Kingdom to Israel and we’re going to be your right hand. We are going to be
kings that reign with you. We’re going to be wealthy and we’re going to be
hotshots.”
Jesus had to keep addressing the root of temporal values in them and to
show them that their priority must not be things. It must be the Kingdom of
God.
Swinging to the Spiritual
They were confused. They embraced the spiritual principles. They took them
and ran with them. And they excelled and they gave their lives for the
Kingdom of God, for the sake of the gospel and spreading the good news of
salvation.
They gave up their right to financial provision and being blessed in this
world. Many took a vow of poverty as though that was a sign of spirituality.
They allowed themselves to be persecuted and driven into the ground by the
wicked rulers of that time who gloated in their wealth. And in an attempt to
not be part of the World System they swung to the opposite extreme.
Well didn’t Jesus teach that? No He didn’t. Jesus had to correct their
thinking. He was dealing with the rich and saying that it is easier for a camel
to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom
of Heaven.
Peter and the other disciples were worried and said,
“Wow Lord, who then is going to be saved?”
They said, “Lord we’ve given up everything to follow you.”
You would think that Jesus said to them,
“Yes you did, and you just keep it that way and stay poor if you want to
serve me, okay?”
No that is not what He said. Peter began to say to Him,
“Look we’ve left all and have followed you.”

Jesus answered and said,
“Truly I say to you there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters
or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my sake or for the
gospel’s that will not receive a hundred times in heaven one day.”
Is that what He said? No it isn’t. He said,
“You will receive now, in this life time, houses and brothers and sisters and
mothers and children and lands.”
Satan Opposes Wealth
Yes I know He threw in that bit… with persecutions. Yes there are going to
be persecutions. Do you honestly think Satan is going to be happy if you get
wealthy? Do you think he is going to let everything go smoothly?
He is going to raise up his people and the World System against you. And
maybe that’s why everybody chickened out. They were too afraid to get
wealthy because of the opposition they would get from the world.
Just let a Christian try and rise up in wealth and everybody will try to tear
him to pieces. Let the church have money and they will give all these stories
about how you stood up and robbed all the money from the poor people.
Jesus said, “In the age to come you will have eternal life. But right now in
this life time you will receive a hundred times more than what you gave up.”
Things Should Not Control You
He doesn’t intend us to stay poor. He wants us to let go of being controlled
by things.
He did not say we must let go of the things. What He said was,
“Yes you must let it go and be prepared to give up everything. But in this
lifetime I am going to give it back to you in abundance.”
You say, “Well you know I’m too humble to just expect the Lord to give me
back a hundred times. You know I was happy just to give it all up for the
Lord. I serve Him fervently and I will struggle on in poverty.
“We will live in this bad house in a bad community and I’ll drive a broken old
car. At least it gets me places. I don’t need to drive a fancy car.”
By Les D. Crause
P a g e | 12
No you don’t need to. The problem is when you need that fancy car to make
yourself look good; when you need that fancy house so that you can brag
and say,
“Look what I have done.”
That is temporal values. Don’t mix the two up. If you can address the
temporal values and deal with the wrong motivations, you can have
anything and everything. This world was made for God’s people and the Lord
still intends to prosper you and give you everything.
The early church missed it. They were martyred and went into obscurity and
the Church virtually disappeared.
False Ideals of the Catholic Church
And then there came the religious system that found a way to keep people
poor and get rich. Yes, it is the Catholic Church. It keeps people poor by
having them take a vow of poverty, and taking vows to be monks and not to
marry. And you must give up everything, as long as you give it all to the
church, so that those higher up can live in wealth.
Again that pattern is so bad that the Church has tried to veer away from it
strongly. And once again we have believed the lie that the Lord wants us to
walk in poverty.
