Location of Incident: 500 block East Buffalo Street
The Ithaca Police Department is currently investigating the report of a suspicious
encounter that occurred yesterday on the East Hill area of the city. On October 2, 2014 at about
5:26 pm a fifteen year old youth was standing at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and East
Buffalo Street waiting to be picked up by a parent. A truck stopped on the roadway directly in
front of the youth. The driver of the truck then yelled to the youth and asked him what he was
doing, however the youth did not reply. The driver of the truck then yelled at him to get into
the truck. The youth pulled out his cell phone and said he was calling the police. The truck
sped off north bound on Stewart Ave.
The driver of the truck is described as a white male, about 30 years old with short grey
hair. He was wearing a black Yankees ball cap and black sunglasses. The truck is described as
a Ford F-150, dark green in color, with the FX off-road package decal on the side of it. The
truck was described as newer with loud exhaust and a red tool box in the truck bed.
