Young RACE 1: POWERADE MAIDEN - 1100M LOVESTRUCK ROMEO (Takahide Ikenushi) – Lay inwards near the 250m with its rider having to stop riding and straighten his mount. COVENTRY TO RIO (Brad Parnham) – Raced wide from the 600m. FANCY FEET (Troy Turner) - Commenced awkwardly. Crowded for room and restrained shortly after the start. Crowded near the 250m. BIPPO NO BUNGUS (Steven Parnham) – Carried outwards and bumped shortly after the start. GREY RENNIE (Ben Paterson) – Bumped outwards and unbalanced shortly after the start. ILLUSION OF LIGHT (Shaun O'Donnell) – Lay outwards rounding the home turn. QUICK DRAW (William Pike) – Raced greenly in the straight. STRAWBERRY STREET (Shaun Meeres) – Lay inwards and as a result was impeded near the 225m. RACE 2: WAROA OWNERS BONUS DAY MAIDEN - 1200M CHUNKY'S GIFT (Renee Forrest) ($15) threw its head in the air behind the barriers and struck its rider in the face. Rider was examined by the Medical Officers and declared unfit to fulfil her riding engagement. The filly was subsequently withdrawn by Stewards at 1:35pm. All bets made on the filly were refunded. Deductions from winning bets were made in accordance with RWWA Rule of Wagering 56. WHATEVER TREVOR (Ben Paterson) – Impeded at the start. Raced greenly and lay outwards in running. KISSINGER (Katariina Aho) – Raced greenly leaving the 1000m and through the middle stages and as a result was impeded from the heels of another runner near the 400m. Trainer Mr J. Miller was advised that he must engage the services of a senior rider for the gelding’s future race starts. OUTLAW BLUES (Clint Harvey) - Raced wide throughout. BAR LOVER (Joseph Azzopardi) - Commenced awkwardly and lost ground. SAY WHAT (Jarrad Noske) - Commenced awkwardly. Following the event Trainer Mr D. Pateman advised that the gelding would now be spelled. SEQUALO SYSTEM (Peter Hall) - Commenced awkwardly. Raced fiercely in the middle stages. TRADING UP (Shaun O'Donnell) – Held up rounding the home turn. TWIKKEY (Kyra Yuill) – Raced wide on straightening. STELLULAR (Troy Turner) – Returned with a laceration to the off hind fetlock. Following the race Apprentice R. Forrest was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer and declared unfit to fulfil her remaining riding engagements. DIGGERS REWARD (Kyra Yuill) – Lay inwards in the straight. PURE NITRATE (Takahide Ikenushi) – Bumped and unbalanced and crowded at the start. CELEBRITY MISS (William Pike) – Impeded near the 200m. ETRURIA (Joseph Azzopardi) - Commenced awkwardly and bumped. MIA CASA (Jason Whiting) – Lay inwards over the final 200m. RACE 4: GOULDBURN VALLEY MAIDEN - 1410M PEGASUS RISING (Mark Forder) - Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards at the start. Raced wide throughout. RAHANUI (Clint Harvey) – Lay inwards in the straight with the rider changing the whip to his left hand near the 100m. BABY GLAM (Jason Whiting) – Raced wide throughout. Lay inwards in the straight with the rider changing the whip to his left hand near the 150m. MISS MEYET (Jason Brown) – When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider advised that the filly was under pressure leaving the 600m and compounded in the straight. He explained that at its previous start his mount had raced outside runners and in his opinion today may not have been suited to racing between runners. Trainer Mr T. Andrews advised that it was his intention to have the filly race over an increased distance and with blinkers at its next start. ETERNAL ANGEL (Joseph Azzopardi) – Slow into stride. FLAMING ROSA (Peter Knuckey) – Raced wide from the 400m. RACE 5: KIRKS ESTABLISHED 1865 MAIDEN - 1410M MON BISCUIT (Troy Turner) – Raced wide throughout. BOHEMIAN PARADISE (William Pike) – Carried outwards and impeded at the 400m. REVISIONARY (Chloe Chatfield) – Bumped at the start. Carried outwards, restrained from heels and dipped near the 400m. IHTS RIVETING (Clint Harvey) - Commenced awkwardly and bumped at the start. Raced wide from the 800m. HAMLET OF DENMARK (Ben Paterson) – Crowded leaving the 800m. STINGING NETTLE (Brad Parnham) – Raced wide throughout. Steadied on straightening. JOPAK (Jason Whiting) – Slow into stride. FLANEUR (Ryan Hill) – Lay outwards significantly from the 800m despite the efforts of its rider and compounded in the straight. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be shin sore. Trainers Watkins and Hitchcock advised that the mare will now be sent for a spell. POWDER ROOM (Joseph Azzopardi) – Raced greenly in the straight. General: On Inquiry it was established that FLANEUR (R. Hill) hung outwards from the 800m despite the efforts of its rider and as a result near the 400m carried BOHEMIAN PARADISE (W. Pike) outwards with that runner being impeded and in turn resulted in REVISIONARY (C. Chatfield) also being carried outwards and ultimately restrained from heels and dipped at this point of the race. RACE 6: ATA HANDICAP - 1690M GALLIPOLI PRINCE (Ryan Hill) – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. TIME TO FRONT (Shaun Meeres) - Commenced awkwardly and bumped at the start. VIVA LA BAM BAM (William Pike) - Bumped at the start. Impeded for a clear run between the 350m and the 200m. SHINE THE LIGHT (Steven Parnham) – Raced wide from the 800m and lay outwards rounding the home turn. STAR BEAU (Andrew Heffernan) – Raced wide throughout. TAKEONEFORTHETEAM (William Pike) – Knuckled badly and blundered at the start. Held up rounding the home turn and bumped at the 250m. FAIR FIGHT (Kyra Yuill) – Bumped at the start and again at the 800m. ZIDANSKY (Andrew Heffernan) - Commenced awkwardly and bumped. COURTING DANGER (Peter Knuckey) – Crowded for room at the 800m. Bumped at the 250m. General: On Inquiry Apprentice M. Pateman (RAYO VELOZ) was reprimanded for careless riding under ARR.137(a) for allowing his mount to shift inwards near the 800m when not fully clear resulting in FAIR FIGHT (K. Yuill) being bumped inwards resulting in COURTING DANGER (P. Knuckey) being crowded for room. RACE 8: MOUNT FRANKLIN-AHA CUP - 2019M BATTLE EMBLEM (Kyra Yuill) – Slow into stride. REVEREND LOVEJOY (Peter Hall) – Slipped behind and scrambled at the start. KERRIFIC (Ryan Hill) – Shifted outwards and bumped at the 300m. LOVRE (Danny Miller) – Raced wide throughout. MOONLIGHT BAY (William Pike) – Crowded at the start. Held up for clear running from on straightening until near the 200m. REPRISAL (Jason Whiting) – Bumped at the 300m. RACE 9: SMOKEFREE WA HANDICAP - 1200M LOVETHERAIN was declared a late withdrawal at 2:43pm following Trainer Ms S. Hoppmann advising that due to transport difficulties she was unable to represent the gelding to the course by the prescribed time. LOUISIANA LADY (P. Hall) – Raced wide throughout. Held up approaching the home turn. VIKING LAD (William Pike) – Raced fiercely in the middle stages. LUCY LAMPLADY (Jason Whiting) - Bumped at the start. COLD HANDEL (Shaun O'Donnell) - Commenced awkwardly. ACADEMY STAR (Peter Knuckey) – Commenced awkwardly and bumped. NEW FOCUS (K. Yuill) –Shifted outwards when racing keenly at the 1000m and wide from thereon. GENERAL Routine specimens were taken from all winners. Pre-race blood samples were taken from: Race 3.
