Jefferson’s magnet programs are building
the leaders of tomorrow today, through a career focused,
Liberal Arts curriculum. Students learn leadership
skills, while immersing themselves into the curriculum.
They will have the opportunity to recognize others while
bringing out the best in themselves. They will analyze
different leadership styles to develop their own method
of leadership and have the ability to showcase their skills
throughout their four years at Jefferson.
The Culinary Honors Academy equips students with
college ready, professional skills needed to excel in life.
Students move through the curriculum from the most
basic level to the most advanced level with daily
application of their acquired skills.

The “International Dragon Grille”, Jefferson’s own
Café’, is fully staffed, managed, and operated by
students who create menus, business plans and full
service options for the staff, extra-curricular activities,
and the general public at cost.
Students enrolled in the Culinary Leadership
Academy can earn the National Pro Start
Certificate or Achievement, enabling students
to learn the art of cooking and restaurant
management.

The Academy has a partnership with Johnson
and Wales University Culinary Arts Program.

There is an articulation agreement between
postsecondary colleges & universities
throughout the United States so that high
school courses may equate to college credit.

Our Culinary instructor has years of
experience working with Executive Chefs and
internationally known Bern’s Steakhouse and
SideBern’s Steakhouse.
The leadership skills, rigorous curriculum and
opportunities for collaboration, will allow each student
to excel in their chosen college/career path and reach
their goals.
“Find something you’re passionate about and keep
tremendously interested in it.”
