Have them complete on their own. When everyone is done, have them check with others at their table

Point out the coins on the wall that have been up all year. Tell them to notice the decimals and
fractions under each.
Use mobi and the man speaking to go over “Another Example” clicking on each section so he reads it
to the students. Answer questions.
Now do “Other Examples” Same thing, use mobi and click on each section.
Using white boards do 1-4
Have them draw a picture of the bills and coins for 15
**Now have them write the words for number 15 – Two dollars and thirty-nine cents
Do the same thing for 16.
Using plastic dimes and quarters to tie up– put some under the document camera and see if students
can get the fraction then the decimals

summary for at least one chapter or story. May want to model on the document camera a summary
using a shorter section from Seal Surfer.
