Notes from the director:
I feel the chill in the air. This time of year we
all start getting in gear for the upcoming
holidays. Here in religious ed, we are
beginning to prepare for celebrating
Confirmation with our 11th graders, we had
our parent meeting for Penance and are
preparing for a parent meeting for First
Communicants. Please watch your
calendars carefully these next few months.
There are a lot of days “off” due to holidays
and breaks.
I would like to take this time to wish you all
a very Happy Holiday season. I put my
thoughts about the holidays in a small
section on the back.. but, I hope you enjoy
your time together and remember that
“Jesus is the reason for the season.” Bring
your family to mass, pray together and laugh
together. Peace and Blessings to you all!
***CONFIRMATION
is coming quickly. We are so excited to have
Bishop Edward Grosz as our celebrant. On
November 19 , 85 of our Parish juniors and
2 from Brian Ruh’s Confirmation prep will be
Confirmed in the faith. All are welcome to
join us for the mass and celebration to
follow.
A HUGE “thank you” to those parents who
took on a class in their homes.

time and time again how service to others is
an important part of leading a Christian life.

ultimately, a commitment to Christ. THANK

COMMUNION PARENT MEETING …
Will be held on Tuesday Dec. 10th @ 7pm OR
on Wednesday Dec. 11th @ 4:15 (please note
time change)

These meetings will include information
about first communion.. a book that you will
work on with your child and a chance to sign
up for the liturgy you would like your child
to make their Communion at. Please mark
your calendar. IF you have been through
this in recent years, you will just need to get
the materials and sign up for a mass.

Classes Resume the week of Jan 6th
HOLIDAYS…
We are getting to that wonderful, but crazy hectic
time we call the “holidays”. With Thanksgiving
followed quickly by Christmas, some of us wonder
how we will keep our sanity. Especially with the
economic crunch these days, this is the perfect time
to put into perspective “what is important”. Our
health, our family, our time together, our faith…
these are the things we take for granted in lieu of
wondering how we can get that new game system
for our kids. I hope you take some time to look at
the blessings you have. Make time for your kids and
show them that.. “they” are the best gift you have
ever gotten.
Collections….
Each year we collect for the needy. This
year St. Luke’s Mission has asked us for our
help. They do so much for so many and are
in need of personal items for their shelves.
God bless you for your kindness.
Suggestions: toothbrush, toothpaste,shampoo,
conditioner, mouthwash, soap, deodorant,
razors,shaving cream, lip balm, gloves, hats.
