Ms. Daniels will confirm if the nomination is accepted via email. After the nomination is accepted the student can apply using our ONLINE application, the link to the application will be provided to the institution. Applications must be submitted by the deadlines. The Learning Agreement needs to be signed and stamped by the home university’s coordinator § Prospective students must meet the minimum requirements outlined on the UIC Admission Webpage Undergraduate International Requirements: https://admissions.uic.edu/undergraduate/requirements- deadlines/international-requirements Graduate International Requirements: https://admissions.uic.edu/graduate-professional/requirements- deadlines/international-requirements § If the application material is uploaded to the online application system with all the necessary documents, it is not necessary to send documents by mail. However, undergraduate transcripts must be ground mailed or shipped to the UIC Office of International Affairs. § Official Transcript from home university 2 § Language Certificate, students must have them sent electronically by ETS using UIC institutional test code “1851”. If IELTS is taken, please ask the student to report in the application that the IELTS has been taken and to upload the scores. § After receiving a letter of acceptance from the UIC OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS, applicants will need to obtain a student visa. The Office of International Services (OIS) will request the submission of the required OIS Documents in order to prepare the proper immigration document (I-20/DS-2019). Students must take a minimum of 75% of their courses within their major/field of study. The Learning Agreement needs to be signed and stamped by the home university’s coordinator. The Learning Agreement can not guarantee placement into the desired course. 3 * Please refer to Appendix Form within the agreement. Language Students participating in courses offered in English: a minimum requirements for TOEFL score of 80 (IBT) or IELTS score of 6.5 or similar level incoming students proved by home university’s English teachers If TOEFL scores are required, students must have them sent electronically by ETS using UIC institutional test code “1851”. The system will send a confirmation email with this information to the address the student reports on the application. •Re Transcripts: Undergraduate students must dispatch via regular 4 Durations and timing for exchange Arrival and orientation Transcripts of records When and how do students receive their transcript of records mail original transcripts to the Office of International Affairs. Graduate students will download originals only. All transcripts must be in original language and translated into English. •Report ALL post-secondary institutions attended. •After submission of the online application, students will be required to upload all academic credentials, and will receive an email indicating if the application is missing documents. Arrival dates: depends on the semester of study. There are two orientations: • OIA Orientation with Ms. Daniels • OIS Orientation Dates are updated each semester. Please carefully read the Admission package Ms. Daniels sends to you and look for this specific dates. According to UIC university system, students have the right to receive their own transcript directly. Inbound exchange students can pick up their transcript before returning home by ordering their transcript. Kindly note that students are responsible for picking up their transcript before they leave, or order an electronic version. Please notice that transcripts are not automatically sent to the partner university.
