now third Weimar
master class, Sergio Azzolini once again expands his spectrum: not
only will bassoon be a focal point but also Basso-Continuo lessons
for various instruments as well as for singers. In doing so, Azzolini
falls back on his intensive experiences in historical performance
practices as a member of countless baroque ensembles as well as

In addition, he has not only made a name for himself on the modern
bassoon but also on the baroque bassoon. Born in Bolzano, the
Italian has been teaching bassoon and chamber music at the
Hochschule für Musik in Basel since 1998.
