Week – BBC Four Gothic
Literature Collection
The BBC Four Collections (available via BBC iPlayer) “delve into the archives to select classic
full-length BBC TV programmes and make them available for you to enjoy once again”. ERA’s
pick of the week is one of these classic collections, focusing on Gothic novels.
The Gothic Literature Collection features programmes about Dracula, the Brontë sisters, and
Frankenstein. The collection also contains a 2007 programme with Ian Rankin investigating
Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
