“I chose the Doosan excavator, because I worked with them
when they were still Daewoo. I also have a good friend who
has a few Doosan machines that I’ve used. I found them to
be comparable to Caterpillar, Komatsu, and John Deere. It’s
a great machine, it has a great build, and it caught my eye.
“The cost is comparable to other machines on the market
with similar specs. The newer models have been significantly
updated. Compared to the previous models, this machine
responds better to the controls. It’s fast, and the zero swing
is great for tight spots. It’s a great piece of equipment for the
compact size, and it’s very versatile.”
It can handle every job
“We’ve used the Doosan excavator for a little bit of
everything: site work, water main work, underground utilities,
demolition, and more. It’s handled every job we’ve used it
for. To increase it’s versatility, we bought a hammer to break
up concrete, and we also purchased a bucket, thumb, and
coupler.
“The hydraulic quick coupler is so fast. From the cab, the
operator can go from bucket, to hammer, back to bucket
with ease. It’s nice to have the option to take off the bucket
when you’re picking things up, like drainage pipe. Being able
to lose the extra weight of the bucket is helpful.”
