with adjustable gap DTF - Flat perforated central disc circular diffusers 1-1.0-01.04-E-03/07 components for air-conditioning systems Diffusers DTF DTF Flat perforated central disc circular diffusers with adjustable gap Ve r s i o n s - DTF (flat perforated central disc circular diffusers with adjustable gap) The DTF series of circular diffusers with adjustable flat perforated panels has been designed for the radial diffusion of air from the ceiling in rooms with a height of less than 3 m. The ability to adjust the height of the perimeter gap allows the range of the air to be adjusted following any variations in the air pressure, in this way avoiding annoying turbulence and unexpected downflows of cold air in the room. The adjustment is made by the rotation of the lower circular plate that is connected to the external housing by means of screws and brackets. For other values of d, the value S must be multiplied by an appropriate coefficient, shown in the following table (K= d / 10): d (mm) K 5 0,5 10 1 15 1,5 20 2 d Warning: the effective outlet area of DTPs vary markedly with the height of the plate d. For a given air pressure a diffuser with a larger aperture d may return lower pressure loss and noise level values than one with a nominally greater diameter. 4 VER. 03/12/09 We reserve the right to make any modifications without prior notice. w w w. t e c n o v e n t i l . c o m Diffusers DTF Effective outlet area (m2) and weights (kg) The effective outlet area is a notional area that, once the velocity of the air is known, makes it possible to arrive at the rate of flow that is actually passing through the diffuser. The measurement is carried out with an instrument that measures the velocity of the air at various points across the diffuser. The formula that links the various parameters is as follows: dove Q = vk x S x 3600 [m3/h] Q = supply air flow rate vk = average measured velocity [m/s] S = effective outlet area [m2] ØN [mm] 100 125 160 200 250 315 S [m ] ● 0,0048 ● 0,0059 ● 0,0074 ● 0,0091 ● 0,0111 ● 0,0138 2 ØN [mm] 100 125 160 200 250 315 [kg] 0,33 0,42 0,64 0,75 1,1 1,45 Weights ● Standard sizes available from stock For the variations of effective outlet area S with changes in height d see page 4 15 50 00 0,0 33 25 20 0,0 0,0 0,0 17 >> 3 >> 2 0,0 14 60 >> 2 09 0,0 11 25 >> 1 0,0 0,0 07 >> 1 >> 1 06 0,0 0,0 05 2 04 03 0,0 02 0,0 0,0 S [m2] 150 5 ØN [mm] 00 Pr e s s u r e l o s s a n d n o i s e l e v e l s ρ = 1,2 kg/m3 100 90 80 70 60 10 50 8 30 40 7 20 vK [m/s] Δp [Pa] 9 45 40 6 35 5 4 7 Legend 2000 500 400 300 1000 900 800 700 200 600 400 100 300 90 80 70 60 200 50 40 90 100 30 80 60 50 70 20 Q [l/s] 25 20 5 500 6 Q [m3/h] NR 30 10 9 8 Q [m3/h] Q [l/s] Q [m3/h] supply air flow rate ØN [mm] nominal diameter of the diffuser S [m ] effective outlet area vk [m/s] velocity relating to the effective outlet area S Δp [Pa] total pressure loss NR noise rating (ISO standard, in relation to 10-12 W) taking no account of the attenuation of the room 2 w w w. t e c n o v e n t i l . c o m VER. 03/12/09 We reserve the right to make any modifications without prior notice. 5 DTF Diffusers 02 5 0,0 0 0,0 32 04 0,0 0 0,0 5 >> 06 10 >> 0 0,0 12 0 5 0,0 7 > >1 0 0,0 9 > 60 > 11 2 >> 00 0,0 25 1 0 0,0 4 > >3 1 15 0,0 7 20 0,0 25 0,0 33 Horizontal throws S [m2] 8 0,0 ØN [mm] 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 5 L0,2 [m] D [m] 4 3 2 1 0,9 0,8 0,7 0,6 -10 °C 3 2,5 2 1,5 1 0,5 2000 500 600 700 800 900 1000 400 300 200 60 70 80 90 100 50 40 500 200 0 60 70 80 90 100 0,5 50 1 40 1,5 0 30 2 0,5 20 2,5 1 9 10 1,5 30 2 0 °C ρ = 1,2 kg/m3 0,5 400 +10 °C 300 ΔT Q [m3/h] Q [l/s] 0 y [m] Legend Q [m3/h] or [l/s] supply air flow rate ØN [mm] diameter of the diffuser S [m2] effective outlet area vm [m/s] average velocity of the throw at distance L L [m] diffusion radius (= x + y) x [m] horizontal dimension of the throw y [m] vertical dimension of the throw L0,2 [m] throw with terminal velocity of 0.2 m/s D [m] distance between two diffusers ΔT [°C] difference between supply air temperature and ambient temperature L D L x vm y y vm vm H 1,80 OCCUPIED ZONE ZONA OCCUPATA The average throw velocity L0.2 at a distance x other than that indicated in the diagrams is obtained by using the following formula: vx = 0.2 x (L0.2 / x) The values shown in the diagram relate to a throw with ceiling influence.
