Dear Children, At last, the much awaited summer holidays have begun. Months of fun, frolic and relaxation will make you sing ‘Happy Days are here again’. Most of you must be excited about the travel plans your parents have made for you during the vacation. While you get a well-deserved break from the classroom, it doesn’t mean you need to stop learning. A blissful break is here and it’s time to take a dip into the ocean of knowledge. Learning helps you to foster empathy, morality, critical thinking, imagination and creativity; it not only broadens your interests, sparks your passions, but also inspires you to think and do great things. So open your arms and welcome the summer vacation and mould them towards your growth, physical, mental as well as intellectual. Take them to see places of interest in Delhi. 2. Help your children to become independent by giving them responsibilities. Involve them in small household activities. 3. Inculcate in them good manners, healthy habits and respect for elders. 4. Help to imbibe the feelings of empathy, affection and tolerance in your children. 5. Give them a chance to look after you and their younger brothers and sisters. 6. Converse with your children in English. 7. Cultivate sportsmanship by motivating your child to play various indoor and outdoor games. 9. Original drawings / illustrations and creative use of material will be appreciated. 10. All the work should be hand written and done neatly. 11. Submit the Holiday homework in an attractive folder with the name and class clearly written on each sheet. Science WALK TOGETHER 1. Go for walks with your family. You will realize you have 2 of God’s greatest gifts… NATURE and YOUR FAMILY. Collect any 5 edible leaves (e.g., Tulsi, Mint, etc.). Paste them on A4 sheet (one on each) and write their uses. LIFE IS IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT WATER. 2. To ensure the general health of your family, you should make sure to increase the intake of liquids. Suggest 5 measures to take liquids in different ways during the day. Examples: Butter milk, Coconut water, Juice, etc. Paste pictures related to it on a chart paper and give a creative title to the collage work. HEALTH IS WEALTH 3. Place these words neatly on a cutout and hang them under the beautifully colored and decorated cutout of the main word. Example is illustrated for you.
