More Than a Ride
This process also includes taking a hard look at certain trips
that are not performing well in
order to increase our financial
performance. We will be taking special ridership counts on
certain trips to evaluate performance. While it is difficult to
recommend potential service
reductions or eliminations, we
must be able to operate within
our limited funding.
As usual, BARTA will publish a special Rider Alert that
will detail any recommended
changes. A public hearing will
be scheduled where customers can give us feedback on
these proposals. Of course,
we encourage our riders to offer their thoughts on service at
any time by emailing or calling

This is the time of the year
when we start looking at the
service we provide to identify
potential changes in service
and schedules. In the past
year we added service on
Sundays on some of the busiest routes in the system which
has proven to be mostly successful. We also implemented the new BusFinder system
that monitors the location of all
the buses.

Deep Discounts on
10 Trip Passes in
March!
March 1 - March 31, 2016
BARTA is rewarding its customers during the month of March by
providing a $2.00 discount on the BARTA 10 Trip Passes. Starting
March 1, 2016, each 10 Trip Pass will be discounted throughout the
month of March. BARTAs 10 Trip Passes offer bus riders an opportunity to save money, even if they only ride on an occasional basis.
BARTA 10 Trip Passes never expire. They remain valid even when
fares change.

BARTA Is There Even in Winter Weather
BARTA is there for our riders in winter weather. In the
event of bad weather, BARTA may need to detour on
some of the bus routes. Detours will be posted on our
website and announcements will be made on local media stations with any service changes. Visit our website and
check-out BARTA’s BusFinder for any detours posted due to bad
weather to stay up-to-date.

The New BusFinder system allows customers to receive alerts via text message or email.
