Technical Studies (Limit 12) Students par cipa ng in this year’s QCHS Tech Shop mini enrichment program will have the opportunity to build a beau ful wall mounted clock. Using a variety of tools and machinery, students will cut, joint, route, bore, and assemble the necessary parts to this handsome clock. Safety is our first priority; all work will be highly supervised. 1. Physical EducaƟon Workshop The Physical Educa on Workshop will be a fun and interac ve series of educa onal and recrea onal ac vi es. Bring indoor athle c shoes, athle c clothing, and your smile! Be prepared to learn a li le, move a lot, and have a great me! 2. Curling The objec ve is to provide students with an introduc on to curling that is fun and enjoyable. During the coaching session , students will receive some curling e que e and safety training, a brief instruc on on delivery, brushing and scoring. A er the introduc on, students will play a short game. 3. Theatre ImprovisaƟon Join us as we combine the elements of drama, im‐ provisa on, story and costume as we create our own scenes and scripts around the theme of "What If...?". No previous experience is necessary. Wear comfortable clothing that permits free move‐ ment. Come ready to experiment ‐ anything could happen! * Please note a student can only enrol in one of the Technical Studies workshops. There are two sessions per day: ‐ Morning session: 9:00 AM ‐ 11:40 AM ‐ A ernoon session: 12:35 PM ‐ 3:10 PM There are: Three op ons for the morning session and Three op ons for the aŌernoon session. Students must bring clean shoes, warm gloves, a hat and warm flexible clothing. 3. Science/3D Photography Science Do starfish have stomachs? How about a heart or blood? Do they have a brain? Join us as we dissect starfish and inves gate these ques ons. Mul media photography Digital photography along with computer so ware has made it easier than ever to create and edit photographs. During this session, we will make 3D glasses, take pictures, use photo shop techniques on computers, and develop crea ve 3D pictures. If you can, please bring a digital camera and a USB cable to connect your camera to a computer.
