Dear Teachers,
This year Student Council has upgraded our voting from paper ballots to text ballots.
This means that Homecoming King and Queen will be elected via text. The students
will be texting their votes during the assembly on Friday, Sept. 26th. Please review
the following instructions with your 2nd hour students before the assembly.
The number to text is (216) 504-6339 (standard text messaging rates apply)
To vote for the queen, students will type one of the following names into the
message:
For NaKayla Griffin text @nakayla
For Halle Maddock text @halle
For Julieta Larios text @julieta
To vote for the king, students will send an ADDITIONAL message
For Mike Mellinger text @mike
For Sheldon McElmurry text @sheldon
For Zane Deatherage text @zane
The spelling of the names will be in view at the assembly. Please advise students
that they can only send one vote/text per category (which is one king vote and one
queen vote) and the voting will only be open during the assembly.
If students do not have a cell phone please send their name(s) to Mrs. Carbone via
email ([email protected]) by Wednesday, September 24. Students without a
cell phone will cast a paper ballot during both lunches on Friday, September 26 by
the student store. Only the names sent to Mrs. Carbone will be able to cast a paper
ballot and they must have their ID with them. This is to prevent double voting.
Thank you,
Mekinna Murphy
Elections Commissioner
