CIA-12 can be connected to 6000 system devices, PX-6216/ECS-6216P
and conduct Macro function of RM-6024 without RM-6024.
Macro function binds several commands into one command.
Macro function of CIA-12 delivers audio signal to selected zones
once contact closure is inserted. There are maximum of 5 contact
closures to set 48 Macros. Use MS-6100 or MS-6800 program of
Inter-M to select zones to receive audio signals per Macro.
Macro Function of RM-6024: It binds several zones to one “ZONE
SELECTION BUTTON”. (Maximum of 160 zones per a button)

- Explanations of the LED Colors
1) The green LED blinks when all ADDRESS setting switches are
OFF.
2) The green LED is turned OFF when all ADDRESS setting
switches are operating properly.
3) The yellow LED turns ON when communication between the
MASTER device is NOT operating properly.
4) The yellow LED turns OFF when communication between the
MASTER device is operating properly.
5) Both green and yellow LEDs are OFF after properly connected.
6) The green LED turns ON when contact closure signal is entered.
7) The yellow LED blinks when higher priority RM terminal than
CIA-12 connected RM terminal is in use.

COM
Ex) As the Macro numbers from 1 through 5 are set on Macro setting switch connecting “NUMBER 5” contact closure inputs,
“NUMBER 5” macro function is activated. Once Macro numbers are set as 46-48 connecting “NUMBER 3” contact closure
input, the Macro function for “NUMBER 48“is activated. As
there is no Macro number for the contact closure inputs of both
“NUMBER 4” and “NUMBER 5”, there are no actions. Please
refer to the following cases in terms of priority of the dry contact.
1) Additional Contact Closure Inputs:
As the Macro numbers are set as “NUMBER 1-5” connecting
“NUMBER 5” contact closure input, the macro function for
“NUMBER 5” is activated. In this case, although additional contact closure input of “NUMBER 4” is connected, CIA-12 consecutively operates “NUMBER 5” Macro function according to
the preceding “NUMBER 5” dry contact. However, while the
Macro function of “NUMBER 5” is operating, connecting
CIA-12
COMM. INTERFACE ACC.
“NUMBER 4” contact closure makes “NUMBER 5”dry contact
cut off, and then CIA-12 works with “NUMBER 4” Macro.
2) More than two Contact Closure Inputs:
As the Macro numbers are set as “NUMBER 1-5” connecting
“NUMBER 5” contact closure input, the macro function of
“NUMBER 5” is activated. In this case, although additional contact closure input of “NUMBER 4” is connected, CIA-12 consecutively operates “NUMBER 5” Macro function according to
the preceding “NUMBER 5” dry contact. However, while the
Macro function of “NUMBER 5” is operating, connecting
“NUMBER 3”and “NUMBER 4” contact closure inputs in sequence makes “NUMBER 5” dry contact cut off, and then CIA12 works with “NUMBER 3” Macro. In this state, if “NUMBER
3” contact closure input cuts off again, CIA-12 works with
“NUMBER 4” Macro. The MACRO selection priority order in
connecting more than two contact closure inputs is 1>2>3>4>5.
