Riders of the Week
“Preparing Students for Their Future”

FL Moffett: Jimmarion Smith, Sergio Sarao, Ben Scrimsher,
Tye Marble
Jimmarion Smith is in Mrs. Covington’s Kindergarten class.
His favorite subject is Science Discovery Center and his role model is
his MeMe. When he grows up, Jimmarion wants to be a policeman.
He enjoys reading, riding his scooter, and playing outside. Jimmarion
was chosen as Rider of the Week because he is a good citizen and he
enjoys helping others. He follows the rules, listens, and tries his best.
Sergio Sarao is in Mrs. Batdorf’s Kindergarten class. His favorite
subject is Social Studies and his role model is his teacher, Mrs. Batdorf. When he grows up, Sergio wants to be a doctor. He enjoys playing with his mother and his brother. Sergio was chosen as Rider of
the Week because is kind and a good role model for others. He follows
the rules, is a good friend to others, and always tries his best.
Ben Scrimsher is in Mrs. Rogers’ Kindergarten class. His favorite subject is math and his role model is his dad. When
Ben grows up, he wants to own his own business. He enjoys playing video games, basketball, and traveling. His favorite
trip was one he took to China last year. Ben was chosen as Rider of the Week because he works hard to do his best. He is
friendly and is a good friend. He is also an example for other friends and is a joy to be around.
Tye Marble is in Mrs. Ramsey’s Kindergarten class. His favorite subject is math and his role model is Roberto. When
Tye grows up, he wants to be a fire fighter or a police officer. He enjoys playing. Tye was chosen as Rider of the Week
because he is a good listener and a good example for others to follow. He follows directions the first time and is a good
friend to his classmates.
Center Elementary: Gisele Diaz and Kael Wilson
Gisele Diaz is in 3rd grade and enjoys learning new math facts. Gisele’s role model is her mom because she is a
teacher and loves teaching children. When she grows up, Gisele wants to be a teacher because she loves children and
feels very happy when she teaches someone something new. She loves reading
chapter books because they may be funny, interesting, or provide her with new
information. Gisele was chosen as Rider of the Week because she is one of the
hardest workers and always does more than is expected of her. She follows the
directions the first time given. Gisele sets such a positive example in the classroom as she always encourages others and is a delight to see everyday.
Kael Wilson is in 3rd grade and loves to exercise and be active in P.E. His
role model is his Paw Paw because he loves horses just like Kael. He takes care
of his horses and treats them very well. When he grows up, Kael wants to be a
truck driver like his Paw Paw because he loves trucks, especially Peterbilt. He
enjoys feeding horses with his Paw Paw and riding four wheelers with his
brothers. Kael was chosen as Rider of the Week because he always goes above
and beyond in trying to help others and doing more than needs to be done. His
attitude is always awesome, even when things are difficult. He always gives
110% each and every day and sets the example through respect toward classmates and teachers.
Center Intermediate: Beyonce Bell and Jonathan Bustos
Beyonce Bell is in 5th grade and her favorite subject is reading. Her role model is
the singer, Beyonce. When she grows up, Beyonce wants to be a singer. She enjoys
basketball, writing, and dancing. Beyonce was chosen as Rider of the Week because
she always participates in class and tries her hardest. She is quick to help those
around her and puts others before herself.
Jonathan Bustos is in 5th grade and his favorite subjects are science and language arts. His role model is his grandma. When he grows up, Jonathan wants to be
a lawyer. He enjoys playing outside with his cousins and brothers. Jonathan was
chosen as Rider of the Week because he always tries his best and participates in
class. He’s very eager to learn and is a leader to those around him.
Center Middle School: Kiersten Johnson and Keaton Watlington
Sixth graders, Kiersten Johnson and Keaton Watlington have been
chosen for CMS Riders of the Week. Both have been described as
‘excellent students’ by their ELA teacher, Miss Megan Loftice.
Keaton loves reading and writing and is very active participating
in Beta Club, tennis, and band. His role model is Rodger Federer, and
Keaton aspires to be as skilled at playing tennis as Federer. In the
future, Keaton will be an Aggie at Texas A&M, preparing for a future
teaching Social Studies or Reading. Keaton is the kind of student who
always does what is asked of him, and is always willing to participate
in class.
Kiersten has plans to be a pharmacist in the future. She is active
in GT, Beta Club, Pep Squad, Tae Kwon Do and competitive
cheer. She admires her cousin, Haydin because he was always a
straight A student and is now in college to be a doctor. Kiersten is an
excellent student who always gives 100%. She does a great job, is always willing to do her part, and comes to class with a
great attitude.Congrats to Kiersten and Keaton for being our CMS Riders of the Week!
Center High School: Kaneesha Murray and Joel Rodriguez
Kaneesha Murray is a Senior and her favorite subject is art. She looks at the world and observes traits that she wants
to incorporate. She chooses not to have a specific role model so she doesn’t lose who she truly is. After high school,
Kaneesha plans to attend Texas Women’s University and pursue Family Therapy. She enjoys painting, drawing, playing
volleyball, softball, and running track. She is President of the Art Club, Senior Class Reporter, and a member of her
Praise Dance team at Church. Kaneesha was chosen as Rider of the Week because
she is a great student and a terrific person. She is a role model for others even
though she chooses not to define herself into one role, and that is her greatest
quality. She is confident in who she is and doesn’t conform to what others want her
to be. Furthermore, she stands up for those that can’t or won’t stand up for themselves. Kaneesha has an infectious smile that she shares with us daily. If things
are going bad in her life you would never know it. She makes CHS a better place
and we are blessed to have her as a Rider.
Joel Rodriguez is a Freshmen and his favorite subject is Algebra. His role model
is his dad. After high school, he wants to attend the University of Texas in Austin
and study Criminal Justice. He is very involved in sports at CHS, serves as Freshmen class secretary, and is an active member of the Beta Club. Joel was chosen as
Rider of the Week because he is a 9th grade student whose maturity and insight
are well beyond his years. There are times when you observe people go about their
daily routines and you can see that they “just have it.” Joel just has it. He is a terrific student that is involved in many activities at the school. Joel will be a huge
success in his life because of his work ethic and determination. Joel is the kind of
student who is a pleasure to know and work with everyday. He is a valued part of
our CHS family.
