Below is a brief summary of the proposed Board Approved Projects (BAPs) that may be happening during the summer of
2016. This list is to help you determine the house or apartment you would like to live in this summer based on the information
below. This list does not contain any projects that houses may decide to do with their House Approved Projects (HAPs)
money. You will have to ask the House Manager of the house you are interested in if they are planning any HAPs for the
summer. Look for notes attached to some of the projects and be sure to read the additional information below.

Different projects will have different conditions but you should expect there to be noise, dust, workers coming to the job site by
8:00 a.m., construction materials, drilling, hammering, areas closed off for varying periods of time, water and electricity turned
off at times, debris associated with construction, and general construction noise. We will post notices before we begin work.

NOTES:
1. Expect noise and dust during the work. Common room areas may be inaccessible at times.
2. Possible noise and odor from roofing materials.
3. Noise, dust and/or odors possible.
4. May require access to room for performance of work.
5. Noise and dust, bathroom will be unusable during renovation. Expect occasional water interruptions.
6. Access to apartments will be impeded; access will be via roof and alternate stairways.
7. Kitchens/bathrooms will be unusable during renovations.
8. Heating will be interrupted.
9. Roof access will be unavailable during work. Expect some noise and disruption.
10. Rooms/bathrooms will be unoccupied during construction; expect noise and dust in adjacent rooms.
11. Expect noise from concrete breakup and removal.
12. Some noise and dust, occasional water service interruptions.
13. Expect noise and dust, access to apartment may be impeded.
14. Contractors will require access to some ground-level apartments.
HIP Seismic Project: The BSC is planning a seismic retrofit of Hillegass Parker (HIP) Main
House. This project will cause significant construction noise, dust, loss of parking, and
disruption that will affect residents in HIP North & South houses. Also, the house kitchen and
the laundry facilities in Main House will be closed—residents will need to use off-site facilities
for food/laundry services. No access to Main House will be permitted throughout the Summer.
