About Lincoln Peirce
Lincoln Peirce is the creator of the comic strip Big Nate which debuted in 1991 and appears in
over 300 newspapers nationwide. Peirce turned the comic strip into a chapter book series with
the release of Big Nate: In a Class by Himself in 2010. The books have since sold over 4 million
copies and have spent over a year on The New York Times bestseller list.
At the age of seven, Peirce and his family moved to Hawaii for six months into a home that was
filled with Peanuts compilations. It was then that he fell in love with comics, most notably
Peanuts. He replicated Peanuts comics for a couple of years, and in fourth grade starting
drawing his own original characters.
