With the attic truss on screen, double click the collar tie to enter Versatruss. The collar tie is

Adjusting the
Height and Width
of an Attic Truss
On the Versatruss window, click the button for Dist: And enter the desired room height. For
this example the entry will be 8’-0”. OK the Dist window and OK Versatruss.

The collar tie has moved and the room height is now 8’-0”
Adjusting the
Height and Width
of an Attic Truss
Next, click in the member list and type an R. R1 will show in the window and will be active.
The distance is shown as -10-0-0. Click the button for Dist: and enter the desired room
width. For this example we want the room to be 12’-0”.
Enter -12’. Ok the Dist window and ok Versatruss. The room moves off center.

For the next step, click the right knee wall.
Adjusting the
Height and Width
of an Attic Truss
Change Dist to the desired room width. For this example, 12”
The room is now centered and 12’ wide. Ok Dist: and ok Versatruss and close. In Special
Loads click show all loads and you will see the attic load has expanded to the new width.
