Greetings Parents,
On December 20, the Indiana Department of Education published all school letter
grades. A "C" letter grade was published for Southwick. Under the current system,
Southwick receives the grade of their feeder school. We are happy to announce that
Prince
. Chapman Academy received a "B" letter grade. We are working to see if we
can have our letter grade corrected from a "C" to a "B." The method for determining
letter grades will be changing in the future. If there are any changes prior to the end
of the school year, Southwick will publish in the EAGLE, but currently Southwick is
awarded a "C."
EACS Showcase:
2nd grade students performing in the musical performance at
the EACS Showcase on Sunday, February 9 need to arrive to
New Haven High School at 1:00 pm.
Attendance
If your child is going to be absent or not present at the start of the
school day, please make sure to call the school at 446-0250 and select
Option 1 to reach the Attendance line by 8:30 and report why they will
not be here. Please send in all Doctor’s return to school slips.
It is also very important for us to have current contact
information on file for all of our children. You can use
Parent Access to not only check your child’s grades and
attendance, but to keep contact information up to date.
The only update you cannot change is residency. It is
critical for you to bring in your new lease so we can get this
updated in our records as soon as possible and provide you
with correct bussing for your child. If you do not have a
Parent Access code send a note to the office so we can
provide you with one.
