GETTING FIT AT MBCC!
Who says you can’t have Fun while getting Fit?
Thanks to Lu-Ann Martin and the Arthritis
Foundation we are now able to offer 3 programs:
Tai Chi, Arthritis Foundation Aquatics and Take
Control with Exercise.
Class size is limited to not more than 10. Members get preference and a
significant discount in charges along with additional discounts if you choose to
take all three classes! Details will be forthcoming.
In order to provide Members
with uninterrupted access to
Pool & Gym we have eliminated
personal training of nonMembers and come November
1st the outside groups will be
working directly with Lu-Ann as
part of her classes. All programs
will involve MBCC Members and
all will be supervised. We will
be providing more programs and
eliminating the conflict with
private classes and outside
groups.

OKTOBERFEST 2011
Last Friday found a Full House for OKTOBERFEST
2011! Kurt and his Krew did a great job preparing
multiple
traditional
dishes.
Fred and
Walter came dressed
for the event complete
with their caps awash in pins celebrating events and
places where they have been. It is interesting that a
stateside parallel to that exists with motorcyclists who
often display pins and badges on a vest. Another great
evening was enjoyed by all!

KURT’S KORNER ---Bistro Night next Friday October
21st 5:30 to 7p
Come on down for a little change of pace as well as an
opportunity to get to know the Bistro Menu a little
better. Reservations are Appreciated and Guests are
always welcome!
PLATING CHARGE TO APPLY STARTING IN NOVEMBER
Splitting a meal is a good thing to do and my wife and I often do just that when
we are out – the only downside is that the husband always has to split what the
wife wants to eat. But that aside – in every case the restaurant very reasonably
charges a ‘plate fee’ to do so. In order to keep overall charges down we are
always trying to allocate costs to those who actually enjoy the benefit. Most
would agree that this is the most fair way to proceed. The charge will be $3.
Thank you for your understanding --- if you have any question please be sure to
speak with either Kurt or me.
MOVIE TONIGHT: REBECCA
Friday at 7:30 p in the First Floor Community Room
No, this is not Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm -------- this is Alfred Hitchcock’s 1940
classic that won an Oscar. Seeing how it has been 70 years since some of you
might have seen this – it will seem like a brand new film. You are promised many
surprises. So after the Wine Tasting and after Dinner you might want to consider
heading on downstairs for MBCC’s FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE MOVIES!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU……………..
One of the things that we value here
at MBCC is the sensitivity and the
creativity of our Staff to respond to
many and various situations that
present themselves without notice.
Where other places are quick to say
that they ‘can’t ‘ do something our
Staff are always at the ready looking
for ways to make it happen.
This time we want to acknowledge
and thank Ryan and Chrystal for their above and beyond efforts as outlined in this
following note sent to Kurt:
Good Morning Kurt,
I would like to praise Ryan and Chrystal for the help and care
they gave me last night. I ad told my ‘grief’ group that it was
pizza night and they said that was fine. However, one of
them invited a guest and she turned out to have some rare
eating disorder and couldn’t eat pizza – or much else it
seemed. However, Ryan was able to find something and
solved the problem.
Chrystal quickly set one more place and saw to my guests
needs. Believe me, the group was veery impressed and wants
you to know how much they appreciate the extra effort.
Please pass on their and my appreciation.
marvelous team.
