form a partnership between the family and the case manager, where the family is seen as
the expert on their family and the case manager brings expertise on accessing resources
and on skill building. We meet with families in their homes and communities and tailor
our service to the needs of the family. We do advocacy for the family and teach them to
advocate for themselves. We do skill building and connect families with needed services.
Once a referral is received, our staff will meet with the parent/guardian to discuss services.
Our staff generally meets with family at least twice a month but we do tailor the services in
order to give the family the level of service they need when they need it. Services are

children and their families together by providing individual and family counseling in the
home or community to help stabilize and decrease the youth's disruptive behaviors and
prevent possible placement in hospital, residential treatment or State’s custody. This
enables parents to take back control of their home and regain their child's respect and
cooperation. Treatment typically lasts 60-90 days, more if needed. Because treatment is
intensive, families will receive an average of 2 to 3 sessions weekly, and in-home therapists
are available 24/7 to respond to crises. Other services that may be provided include
behavior management, parenting training, communication, relationship-building and
school interventions. Services are covered by TennCare. Self-pay is also an option.
