Adult Education Crash Course in Jewish History Eight Sundays in the fall, 11:15 a.m.-12:25 p.m. Join Rabbi Eitan Weiner-Kaplow and Dr. David Liebling for a journey through four thousand years of Jewish history in this free, eight-part lecture series. This program is presented in conjunction with the National Jewish Outreach Project. ● October 12, 19, and 26 ● November 2, 9, and 23 ● December 7 and 14 Tuesday Afternoons Lunch & Learn with Rabbi Eitan WeinerKaplow Tuesdays, 12-1 p.m. (3 times a month at the synagogue building and once a month down in the loop) Join Rabbi Eitan Weiner-Kaplow, Shir Hadash members, and friends for a refreshing and contemporary exploration of the weekly Torah portion. Participants are encouraged to share their views, questions, and opinions. Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah: Prayer Reading, Service Leading, Torah Chanting, and D'var Torah Skills, Monday Evenings, 8 to 10 p.m. We encourage our Jewish members who did not become Bar/Bat Mitzvah as a child to celebrate Bar or Bat Mitzvah as an adult. Most adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah candidates will need to study in a one-to-two year course to prepare for leading a Shabbat service and reading from the Torah. Students can celebrate adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah as individuals or in small/large groups.
