3 DAYS ADVENTURE PACKED ICELAND TOUR Day 1 Arrival-Blue lagoon Blue Lagoon Start our stay in Iceland with a relaxing bath in the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa, one of Icelandic’s unique and popular attractions. The lagoon is rich in a unique combination of natural minerals which gives the lagoon its soft, milky aquamarine colour. Buckets of silica mud are placed around the lagoon and can be used as a facemask! There is also a natural sauna and steam room. Enjoying a bath and cocktail in the warm water of the lagoon, surrounded by black lava is a perfect way to relax in Iceland. Dinner in LAVA Restaurant at the Blue Lagoon Lava Restaurant is a new restaurant built into the lava surroundings. The restaurant offers an a la carte menu and is a perfect choice for all kinds of events. It seats as many as 300 guests and accommodates as many as 550 guests during stand-up receptions. A glass staircase leads people to the Bar and Lounge areas on the second floor where guests can enjoy a pre-dinner drink and relax in a comfortable atmosphere. The roof of the restaurant is a viewing platform with beautiful view of the lagoon and the surrounding area. A natural lava wall within the restaurant adds to its uniqueness. Day 2 The Golden Circle and Langjökull Glacier (approx. 9 hours) Snæland Incentive is a DMC with over 50 years local expertise and know-how in Iceland. We aim to create programs as inspiring and creative as Iceland itself. Today we will take you to the amazing Golden Circle on our monster jeeps on 44 inch tires. Our first highlight is Thingvellir National Park, the great lava arena in a rift valley, where the Icelandic parliament met for centuries. The lake, Thingvallavatn, is the largest natural lake in the country, surrounded by lava flows, lush vegetation and crystal clear water. This is where the North American and European tectonic plates meet and drift apart 2-6 cm per year. It´s an area of truly outstanding beauty, as well as historical and geological interesting. Onwards to Great Geysir thermal area with its many hot springs, mud pools and geysers. After lunch we explore Gullfoss waterfall, often described as Iceland’s most beautiful waterfall before heading for an amazing glacier adventure awaits us at Europe´s second largest glacier Langjökull. You can have the option to cruise the glacier on snowmobiles and enjoy the view (not included). Dinner at Restaurant Grillið On the eighth floor of the Radisson BLU Saga hotel is Grillið, a restaurant that for almost half a century has been a symbol of a perfect night in Reykjavík. The reason is simple, at Grillið quality comes first, in food and drink, service and atmosphere. A night at Grillið is really a celebration for your senses, quality food and fine wine excite your taste buds and the magnificent view of Reykjavík is a feast for the eyes. Grillið Restaurant truly defines fine Icelandic dining. Day 3 Adventure on sea Morning at your leisure in Reykjavik: Adventure on Sea with Special Tours After lunch we head to sea for an amazing adventure of whale watching and deep-sea fishing! The tours set off from Reykjavík‘s Old Harbor where we head out to Faxaflói Bay, where Special Tours´ experienced captains and guides will tell you all about the whales & birdlife you can expect to see and where to look out for them. These tours have over 95% viewing success so the odds of seeing a whale really are stacked in your favor! After the whale watching adventure we head to Iceland´s rich fishing grounds, where Special Tours´ captains will usually spot fish in a flash! On this sea fishing trips you are in with a good chance of catching cod, halibut, haddock, rockfish and pollock. If you haven‘t been sea fishing before, don´t worry, it is very easy and our crew will happily show you the ropes, advising you on bait and passing on their knowledge of the seas. On-board you get to spend a lot of time with your captain and the crew, who are always telling entertaining stories of the sea and very willing to answer any questions you may have. A popular add-on is to have a competition on who catches either the biggest fish or the most fish, creating a fun and exciting atmosphere on-board. After the fishing the crew will set up a BBQ and grill the freshest fish you´ve ever tasted – the ones you just caught right out of the North-Atlantic Ocean! Fishing rods, protective clothing, gloves and other equipment is all provided on-board Day 4 Departure Transfer in a private bus from the hotel in Reykjavík to Keflavík airport.
