- Chiene + Tait

Audit and assurance
Pension scheme audits are not merely a matter of
compliance. The financial statements form an integral part
of ensuring that a scheme is well run. We are accustomed
to dealing with the other professionals involved in pension
schemes, in order to ensure that our work is carried out
efficiently and to a high standard.
We will therefore:
Provide a service based on a full understanding of the key business, audit and financial reporting risks of your pension scheme.
Test those risk areas in line with the existing internal financial controls.
Issue an audit summary report detailing any
findings following completion of your audit.
Provide easy access to our senior people and
continuity of staff.
‘What I like about working with
Chiene + Tait is that they listen.
They tailor their work to fit our needs and
provide feedback that is clear, concise
and understandable to the Trustees.’
Glenn Andrews
Trustee, Kwik-Fit Group Pension
& Life Assurance Scheme

Pensions sector
Pension specialist group
The pensions sector is complex and highly regulated.
Continuing uncertainties in the economic environment,
together with constant changes in legislation, place
increasing demands on pension scheme trustees.
C+T is one of only a few Scottish firms with a dedicated
pensions group. We have an extensive pension client
base and a variety of services, which enables us to
provide advice to trustees across a range of sector issues.
We can also facilitate pension related training, required by
law, including the principles of funding and the investment
of scheme assets.
In particular, trustees risk personal liability
unless they can demonstrate that they have
acted in the best interests of members by
ensuring that schemes are prudently run.
At Chiene + Tait, we provide a client driven service,
tailored to your needs.
