We are inviting all the children to dress up as a scientist – fictional or real – the choice is theirs as well as bringing a science book into school to share with their peers. Morning Clubs Please ensure that if you are dropping your child/ren off for a sports morning club that they are dropped off at the correct time and ensure that they are left with the teacher taking the club. Please do not, under any circumstances, leave your child in their classroom or school without an adult present. Many thanks. Bumped Head Procedure Just to reminder you that the new system of how you will be informed if your child has bumped their head during the school day is now in place. This procedure will be followed if your child seems fine and obviously if we are concerned at all we will ring you straight away like we do now. Your child’s class teacher will send you a generic text letting you know that they bumped their head and that there is a letter in their book bag, please ensure you read this letter as it now shows you where on the head the bump happened. The class teacher will also ensure that OOSC is informed. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to speak to any member of staff. Many thanks. Achievement Assembly Please be aware there will be no achievement assembly next Friday 3 rd March, due to Sapphire and Emerald being on their school trip. Promoting Independence In order to promote independence and keep our school safe and secure we ask all parents to let their child bring their own bags and equipment into school on a morning. The back door will now be locked and only opened when teachers take their class in at 9am. When children have their instrument they will put this on the stage on their way in to school at 9am with their teacher. If parents need to come into school to see Mrs Wilkinson or see a class teacher please could you come via the main entrance by the office? Many thanks. Please could Duckling parents go round via the trim trail on the back playground and enter their classroom through the blue door as this will be open for you? Sainsbury’s vouchers Just to make you all aware we are now collecting the Active Kids Vouchers from Sainsbury’s. The box will be just inside the front door for you to drop them into. Many thanks.
