Geographic Range Range Description: This species is found in the Caatinga habitat of northeast Brazil. Country Occurrence: Native: Brazil (Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Minas Gerais, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Sergipe) © The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species: Erythrolamprus viridis – published in 2010. http://dx.doi.org/10.2305/IUCN.UK.2010-4.RLTS.T176838A7314433.en 1 Distribution Map © The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species: Erythrolamprus viridis – published in 2010. http://dx.doi.org/10.2305/IUCN.UK.2010-4.RLTS.T176838A7314433.en 2 Population There are no population data available for this species. Current Population Trend: Unknown Habitat and Ecology (see Appendix for additional information) This species is an anuran-eating snake, which is active throughout the year. The species is found in the Caatinga dry forests of Brazil and is reportedly a habitat generalist. Systems: Terrestrial Threats Although there has been a great deal of habitat degradation of the natural Caatinga habitat as a result of expanding urbanization and agriculture, this species is reportedly a habitat generalist, and no reports of habitat loss or degradation as a direct threat to the species are known. Conservation Actions There are currently no conservation measures in place or needed for this species. Credits Assessor(s): Lehr, E. Reviewer(s): Böhm, M., Collen, B. & Ram, M.
