Laser technology at its finest. See
how lasers cut not only through the
air, but also though materials! Can
we bend laser beams? We’ll find

Finally we will light up the room for
a mini dance party (Only offered
at the Mad Science Lab).
Experience our version of a flying
carpet as you glide across the floor

for smaller groups (15 or less) that
will not be bothered by the loud
noise of the hovercraft fan. (Only

Mad Science Lab Party Guidelines and FAQs:
ARRIVAL TIME: You and your guests should
arrive at The Lab no sooner than 10 minutes prior
to the Mad Science Show Start Time. We have
other parties scheduled both before and after
yours, and we want every group (including yours)
to have our undivided attention. Further, the
Laboratory does not have a waiting area.
Therefore, if you or your guests arrive too early,
you will not have access to the Laboratory and will
have to remain outside. Mad Science will not be
responsible for supervising any child either
before or after the stated party times.
PARTY TIME: Mad Science will be ready to
begin your party entertainment 15 minutes after
your party start time. Should all your guests not
be present at the show start time, we have a few
minutes of wiggle room. While waiting for your
guests to arrive, kiddos will have some fun table
activities to keep them busy.
PARTY LENGTH: You have 2 hours in the Mad
Science Laboratory (1.5 hours for our Pre-K
Parties). Our basic Birthday party entertainment
is approximately one hour in length. If you will
have an additional activity at your party (such as
The Science of Cotton Candy, our Bubbling Potion
Show, or the Electric Lab) this will add
approximately 10-15 minutes to your
entertainment time. The party finishes with our
fun Mad Science photo wall, after snacks, cake,
and take-home making for all of the kids. We ask
that presents not be opened at the lab, please.
Please understand that our scientists need time
to clean and set-up the Laboratory for the next
party and need to stay on schedule to ensure your
child and his/her friends do not miss any of the
fun.
Mad Science has performed hundreds of parties
using the above party flow. This flow works best
for all involved. Relax! Let our professional staff
treat you to a no hassle, no stress, no mess partyso you can enjoy your child’s party for a change!
DECORATIONS: The Mad Science Laboratory is
professionally decorated in a cool science theme.
Therefore, no additional decorations are allowed
in The Laboratory. Items with special
significance, such as an annual birthday candle are
allowed and encouraged.
FOOD AND DRINKS: Mad Science will provide
Galactic Lemonade and Water for your guests to
drink (lemonade with a drop of green food
coloring in it), and Popcorn as a snack. We will
also provide basic paper products (cups, plates,
utensils, napkins, etc) for your party. You may
provide your own cake or cupcakes. We do have a
freezer should you want to bring in ice cream to
serve with your cake or an ice cream cake. If you
choose to provide a meal for the kids, we suggest
pizza. Pizza and other food options can be
ordered through our Lab. Please ask for food
pricing.
PARENTS Are Parents invited? May they
observe the party? Absolutely!!! Kids of all ages
enjoy our unique brand of fun, hands-on science.
Our Laboratory will not accommodate more
than 30 guests TOTAL (parents and kids), so if
parents wish to stay we ask that the number of
parents be limited. Our location is conveniently
located in the Oviedo Mall. Parents are more than
welcome to shop or catch up on errands and come
back (on time please!) to retrieve their children.
For the adults that decide to stay, we ask that
their involvement be limited to observation only
and that they respect our desire for quiet during
the entertainment. We understand that this a
festive time and conversation with friends is
great. We just don't want the "party
conversation" to take away from the kids' party
experience. We hope you will understand.
TIPPING: Often customers inquire about a
gratuity for the instructor. At your discretion,
the typical service percentage (15% - 20%) is
customary. Please pay your Mad Scientist directly
and do not include this amount in the balance due.
Travel Party Guidelines and FAQs:
PARTY LOCATION: We have performed our fun
Mad Science Party entertainment at birthday
parties in a huge variety of locations: family
rooms, basements, garages, church social halls,
restaurants of all kinds, the mall food court- you
name it! We can make fun science happen just
about anywhere! However, some locations work
better than others for our unique brand of handson science.
Please keep in mind these few guidelines when
considering a location for your party:

We require an inside location with access to
power and water. Some aspects of our parties
can be done outside, but it is best to plan to
be inside for the duration of the party.

Outside parties can be performed during nonsummer months for an additional $25 fee.
Please keep in mind that some experiments
may not work well outside, and you may be
limited on what party themes you can choose.

A location dedicated to just your party will be
the best for your enjoyment.

As our shows are highly interactive and rely on
numerous volunteers, we prefer a location
where the kids can sit on the floor with room
to move around and get up and down.
ARRIVAL TIME: The Mad Scientist should
arrive at your location approximately 20 minutes
before the Mad Science Show Start Time. We
ask that you separate the Mad Scientist from the
children while they prepare their equipment so
that the entertainment can start on time. To
accommodate for any late arrivals and ensure your
entertainment starts on time, we recommend that
you tell your guests to arrive at least 30 minutes
prior to the Mad Science Show Start Time.
PARTY TIME: The Mad Scientist will be ready
to begin your party entertainment at the stated
Mad Science Show Start Time. Should all your
guests not be present at the stated party start
time, the host may elect to delay the start of the
party entertainment. If the party entertainment
starts late, we may not be able to make up the
missed time as the Mad Scientist may have
another party to perform after yours. A party
may be shortened if started later than the
given start time. Please encourage your guests
to arrive at your party at least 30 minutes
before our show time!
PARTY LENGTH: Our basic Birthday party
entertainment is approximately one hour in length
(including take-home making for all the kids at the
end). Pre-K parties are 45 minutes. If you will
have an additional activity at your party (such as
The Science of Cotton Candy, our Bubbling Potion
Show, or Rocket Launch) this will add
approximately 10-15 minutes to your
entertainment time.
PARTY FLOW: The Mad Science party
entertainment can take place at any time during
the course of your party. Although many
customers elect to have Mad Science as the first
part of the party, our entertainment works
great anywhere in your event.
PAYMENT: The Mad Scientist will present you
with an invoice at the end of the party. For your
convenience, you can pay the Balance Due by
check, Visa or Mastercard ($5 fee), or cash.
TIPPING: Often customers inquire about a
gratuity for the instructor. At your discretion,
the typical service percentage (15% - 20%) is
customary. Please pay your Mad Scientist
directly and do not include this amount in the
balance due.
Some Final Notes Regarding Our Parties:
1) Our Mad Scientist will come to
wherever you are holding the party -or -- your party can come to us!
The Mad Science Laboratory is located
inside of the Oviedo Mall (across from
Gymboree). The closest entrance to our
Lab is the Canopy entrance.

2) Our basic entertainment package is one
hour long and includes take-home
making at the end for all of the kids to
take home. (45 minutes for Pre-K
Parties). We do have premium
experiments that can be added should
you wish to enhance your child's party.
Each add on experiment extends the
party by an additional 10-15 minutes.
3) A Science Take Home experiment is
included for each child attending a Mad
Science Party. There is no additional
charge for these items. We highly
recommend our slime as it is the best
we have found in the world! We also
offer polymer putty, if you prefer
putty over slime. These take homes are
not appropriate for preschoolers.
Children attending our Pre-K Parties
will have Take-Home projects that are
geared just for them! Additional Take-
Home projects can be added to any
party for an additional fee.
4) Since our parties involve hands-on,
interactive activities, they are usually
appropriate for children 3 and older (2
and older for our Bubbling Bubbles
party). Younger siblings are welcome to
watch but generally do not participate.
Regardless of age, anyone participating
in the activities and making the takehome project will be considered when
determining the number of participants
and your cost.
5) Within one business day of booking, we
will send out a letter that confirms
your party reservation. We will also
check in 2-3 days before your party
date to reconfirm your party and get
an idea of the number of children
attending.
6) Parties booked within a week of the
Party Date will incur a $25 Last
Minute Booking Fee (Travel Party) or
$50 Fee (Lab Party).
7) If there is an emergency and you need
to reschedule your party, please let us
know as soon as possible! The
