The Borek Bakehouse | 481 Elizabeth St, City | 9329 5553 The lines out the door at lunchtime give away the popularity of the Bakehouse – super tasty, super filling, super cheap. Ticks all the boxes! South Melbourne Market Dim Sims | Level 3, Emporium, 287 Lonsdale St, City The ultimate hangover cure, these dim sims and spring rolls have had people lining up outside the original stall at South Melbourne Market for years. Fortunately they now have a city outlet to satisfy their many fans, located in the flash Emporium Food Court. The Waiters Restaurant | 20 Meyers Place, City | 9650 1508 No frills hearty Italian, The Waiters Restaurant (also known as the Italian Waiters Club) has been dishing up their classic home-style fare for decades. The décor is a throwback to the 60’s, there are no prices on the blackboard menu, but don’t be alarmed we guarantee you’ll get a really good feed for a reasonable price, leaving with a full belly and a full wallet too. Super Inn | 15 Celestial Ave, City | 9663 4759 A long-time Chinatown favourite, both the décor and service are verging on the basic side, but the Chinese food is reliably good and it's the best place in town for a late-night feed.
