Introduction "I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End," says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:8 – (NKJV) II. I AM - the Alpha and Omega Revelation 22:13 – (NKJV) “I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." 1. Jesus is the One True God Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; John 14:9 – (NKJV) Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM." Then they took up stones to throw at Him… John 8:58-59 – (NKJV) In the beginning the Word (Jesus) already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. John 1:1-2 – (NLT) So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only Son. John 1:14 – (NLT) "This is what the Lord says — Israel's King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God. Isa 44:6 – (NIV84) 2. Jesus is the beginning and the end And He said to me, "It is done! I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Revelation 21:6 – (NKJV) Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. John 1:3 – (NIV84) …looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, Heb 12:2 – (NKJV) And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished… Phil 1:6 – (NLT) 3. Jesus controls and rules over everything "I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end," says the Lord God. "I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One." Revelation 1:8 – (NLT) Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Matt 28:18 – (NIV84) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Rom 8:28 – (NKJV) When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. Rev 1:17 – (NKJV) III. I AM - the one who comforts you …Then he placed his right hand on me I am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Isa 51:12 – (NKJV) All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles… 2 Cor 1:3-4 – (NLT) The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid Ps 118:6 – (NIV84) IV. I Am – the one who eliminates fear …Do not be afraid. I am For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7 – (NKJV) God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, Ps 46:1-2 – (NIV84) Fear of man is a dangerous trap, but to trust in God means safety. Prov 29:25 – (TLB) V. I Am – the one who should be first in your life "You shall have no other gods before Me. Ex 20:3 – (NKJV) But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matt 6:33-34 – (NKJV) VI. I AM - the one who gets the final word on your life …Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word. Prov 16:1 – (TMB) "I am the A and the Z, the Beginning and the Ending of all things," says God, who is the Lord, the All Powerful One who is, and was, and is coming again! Rev 1:8 – (TLB) Jesus is always present tense in our lives He is the beginning He is the end He is the great I AM
