I C A H N S TA D I U M • S AT U R DAY, A P R I L 2 3 , 2 0 1 6 EVENT NOTES Events are organized by gender and grade level: MORNING • Kindergarten and first grade MIDDAY • Pre-K AFTERNOON • Sixth grade • Seniors • Seventh and eighth grade •S econd and third grade • Fourth and fifth grade • High school Registration Participants can enter up to two events. At registration all runners will receive a bib with their name, which they will wear in their events. Please complete the emergency information on the back of the bib. Rotations When an event rotation is called, participants should report to the clerking area, which is located by the left field entrance ramp at the front of the stadium stands. Please pay close attention to rotation announcements, as events may run ahead of schedule. Post-event Family Reunion For those in pre-K through fifth grade, there will be a post-event family reunion area located by the right field ramp entrance in the front right stadium stands section where participants will be chaperoned by NYRR staff to reunite with their parent/guardian or coach after finishing their event. Please remove child-claim tag prior to the event and show it to claim your child/athlete. Restrooms and Concessions Restrooms and concessions are available on the second floor. Outside food is not allowed inside the stadium. FAQs Do participants have to be members of a team? No, any child in pre-K through high school can participate. Parents of children who are not registered through Young Runners®, Mighty Milers®, or DTFS must create a My NYRR account. Do boys and girls run together? No. Boys and girls will run separately. Please refer to the schedule of events. Do participants receive awards? Upon completion of their event, finishers will receive participant or place ribbons. Place ribbons are awarded to first-, second-, and thirdplace finishers in each heat. What time should we arrive? Registration opens at 7:45 a.m. for the elementary school rotations. Middle school and high school registration opens at 11:00 a.m. We recommend you arrive at least one hour before your first event. Can coaches register their athletes? No. A parent must create a My NYRR account to register their child(ren) for the event. Is event-day registration available? No. All registration must be done in advance online. There is no paper application available in advance or on event day. Can participants run a relay without four runners? All relay teams must have four runners, but participants may be able to find other relay team members at the event. All teams must be assembled before entering the clerking area. Can different grade divisions run on the same relay team? Yes. The relay team will compete in the grade division of the oldest member. Can different genders run on the same relay team? Yes. Co-gender relay teams will compete in the boys division. Can I find out about running teams for my child? Yes, you can learn about NYRR's sitebased programs, Mighty Milers® and Young Runners®, by talking to NYRR staff on site or by visiting our website. SCHEDULE No spikes permitted.
