Those who desire to make KBC their home commit to continually be devoted to the following: The Apostles’ Teaching Commitment to KBC?
As a member of the universal church (i.e., all true Christians), we understand the responsibility of obedience to associate with a local church and to love the people of this local body no matter what. We ask those who desire to make KBC their home to publicly express their commitment to love the people and the mission of Kishwaukee Bible Church and serve our Savior in this local body of believers. “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” Galatians 5:13 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive.” Colossians 3:12-‐13 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. “ Hebrews 10:23-‐25 • • • To consistently seek to read, understand and obey the scriptures of the Old and New Testament.
