StarShip Freight Upgrade from v10.0.1 to v10.0.2
This document is divided into 4 sections which provide detailed information on the StarShip Freight
upgrade process.

Section A: Download Installers
StarShip Freight 10.0.2 Client:
http://updates.vtechnologies.com/ssfiles/freight/10.0.2/clientsetup.exe
StarShip Freight 10.0.2 Server:
http://updates.vtechnologies.com/ssfiles/freight/10.0.2/serversetup.exe
Section B: Database Backup
Open Server Manager on the StarShip Freight Server Terminal
Click on Database > Backup Wizard
Select Manual Backup, then next

Click the „set default‟ button, then click next

Section C: Server Upgrade
Run ServerSetup.exe on the StarShip Freight Server Terminal

When prompted, select the “Update Existing” option
o This will update all files to the latest 10.0.2 version
o This will convert the existing 10.0.1 database to the new 10.0.2 version

After the upgrade has completed, launch Server Manager and select Tools>Options
Just click the „OK‟ button to allow Server Manager to set the time for the “Check for Updates”
functionality

The time will be set to a random time between midnight and 1:00 a.m.
The StarShip Service should be started – if not, start it from Server Manager now.
Section D: Client Upgrade
Run ClientSetup.exe on the StarShip Freight Client Terminal

Select the “Update Existing” option, then click next

Type in the name of the StarShip Freight Server, then click next

Select the option to check for updates then click „Finish‟
Repeat client upgrade steps on each terminal running the StarShip Freight Client application.
