Love and Sex for Aliens
This series of texts is the printout of a Facebook conversation between
four people, two from earth and two from an outer space planet.
Cyberteen comes from Cyberspace and is the offspring of Cyberdult doing
an inter-galactic cultural project on the internet.
Cyberdult comes from Cyberspace and is the parent of Cyberteen helping
with homework.
Earth Teen is a British teenager aged 13/14 on the internet and is the
offspring of Earth Parents.
Earth Parent is a British adult parent in a committed relationship or
married.
Some of the language is strange because it has been created by
interspace translator software.

Cyberteen Each time I cruise your zone, my data shows there are more Earthlings
on your planet than ever before. What is the cause?
Earth Teen Sex.
Cyberdult Another thing; you Earthlings are strange, you are all different from
each other. Why?
Earth Teen Sex.
Cyberdult Sex must be very important on your planet. How does it work?
Earth Parent Every new Earthling (which we call a babyling) is made from a sex cell
from its father and a sex cell from its mother. Every sex cell is
different so every new Earthling is different.
Cyberteen How do these sex cells meet each other?
Cyberdult On their internet.
Earth Teen No, they meet by the two parents having SEX.
What are the two things that the aliens notice about Earthlings which are caused by sex?

Cyberteen So, any two Earthlings can have sex and make a babyling?
Earth Parent No, a father must be male and mother must be female. All Earth
parents are either male or female. There are about 50 % of each.
Cyberdult I want to know more about sex.
Earth Teen The male sex cells are called sperm. They are put into the female
body. It only takes one sperm from a man. When it meets a woman's
sex cell called an egg it causes the babyling to be male or female.
Cyberteen How does a male Earth parent put sperm into a female Earth parent’s
body?
Cyberdult I know the answer to that question. Earthlings use their hands for
everything.
Earth Parent Not for sex.
Earth Teen Yes they DO.
What are the names of the male and female sex cells?

Cyberteen Do Earthlings use their hands for sex? Yes or No?
Earth Parent Yes and No. This is getting difficult. We use our hands so the other
person feels good. It gets the body ready for sex which is rather
wonderful.
Earth Teen Then the male uses his penis. It goes into the body of the female.
That’s called sexual intercourse. Then the penis squirts the sperm out.
If they are both ready and want sex it is a fantastic feeling.
Cyberdult Like an injection.
Earth Parent Yes…. Well no. The female has a special organ where the penis goes
in. This is the vagina. And that’s how Earthlings start making
babylings. It takes about nine months.
Cyberdult It takes nine months to do sex?
Earth Teen Sexual intercourse may last from a few minutes to half hour. It takes
nine months for the babyling to grow in the mother’s womb.
Cyberteen That’s sounds cool. I understand sex.
Cyberdult And then the babyling is made and it walks out of the vagina.
What are the hands used for during sex?
What does the alien compare the penis and sexual intercourse with?
4Earth Parent The babyling can’t just walk out of the vagina.
It has to be pushed out
by the mother. It is very hard work and often very painful. We call it
birth.
Cyberteen Birth does not sound cool. Birth sounds nasty.
Earth Parent It is often very painful, but can make Earth parents really happy. The
babyling is looked after by the parents for about a year before it walks.
Earth Teen Then another seventeen years before it is a fully grown adult.
Cyberdult Sounds like a lot of work for the parents. On our planet it’s much
easier. I can’t understand why you Earth Parents still do sex?
Earth Teen Because it makes us feel great and it makes us all different and
interesting.
Earth Parent It feels fantastic between two Earthlings who love each other.
Cyberteen What does “love” mean?
Earth Teen It means you want to have sex with another Earthling.
Earth Parent NO IT DOES NOT. Love is when you want to care for someone, to
spend a long time together, help them to be successful in their life.

Cyberteen So, love is not sex.
Earth Teen But sex is called “Making love”.
Cyberdult And sex is fantastic you said.
Earth Parent When it is “Making love.”
Cyberteen So why don’t you Earthlings make love all the time?
EarthTeen I wish I could.
Earth Parent But you can’t.
Cyberteen Why can’t the Earth Teen do sex? You sound like you have done it,
Earth Parent.
Earth Teen Good question Cyberteen.
Earth Parent If you have sex, you have to be able to handle the consequences.
Cyberdult Like having a babyling for 18 years.
Why does the Earth Teen want to make love?
Why does the Earth Parent say the Earth Teen can’t make love?
6 Earth Parent
There are other consequences apart from having a babyling.
Earth Teen Yes. That’s true. We can stop a babyling from being made by using
contraception.
Cyberteen So use contraception all the time and feel fantastic.
Earth Teen I agree.
Earth Parent You can catch diseases which make you unhealthy and even die.
Cyberdult Death? That is definitely not cool.
Earth Teen You can love another Earthling, but they don’t love you.
Cyberdult Can two Earthlings love each other and then stop loving?
Earth Parent Yes. That happens a lot. And the babyling often loses a parent.
Cyberteen Can any two Earthlings love each other?
Earth Teen Yes, if they are adult, they can be opposite sex or same sex.
Cyberdult Sounds cool. Everybody is happy.
Earth Parent Once two Earthlings start to get sexually close it makes it more difficult
to change your partner and it affects their friendships, family and
feelings.
What does the Cyberteen think is definitely not cool?
