Esbjerg - Denmark
Esbjerg is a seaport town on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula in southwest Denmark, and is the ideal starting point for experiencing unique nature. It is the fifth-largest city in Denmark, and the largest in west Jutland. In addition to its fishing and shipping
activities, the town has several notable museums and entertainment venues, including Esbjerg Art Museum, Esbjerg Museum and
the privately owned Fisheries and Maritime Museum. You are close to everything in Esbjerg.
Fanø can be reached by ferry in just 12 minutes, Hjerting beach in 12 minutes and Legoland in only 45 minutes. When approached
by sea, the “Man Meets the Sea” is one of the prominent monuments, consisting of four 9-metre-tall (27 feet) white-coloured men,
overlooking Sædding Beach.
Esbjerg is increasingly recognized for its university facilities and sporting activities. It is home to the Danish football club Esbjerg fB,
who play their home matches at Blue Water Arena.

Basic Package Conditions
Hotels
The price range per person in hotel accommodation is based in 3, 4 or 5 pax room occupancy. The IberCup is the one that decides how many persons will stay
per room, if teams decide to get the basic price range per person. Teams participating with the basic price range per person can’t decide how many persons
will stay in the room unless you pay for an additional cost for 1 or 2 pax room occupancy. The IberCup manages all the room distribution from the teams and
any change from the standard room distribution must be approved by us. Due to the limited number of rooms per floor, your team might need to be split in
different floors. IberCup does not have any power of decision in matter which is of the exclusive responsibility of the hotels. Some of the rooms have only 1
double bed for 2 persons where every 2 persons will share the same bed. From 3 Pax in a room or more, not all the hotels offer a triple room and it is therefore
placed in a double room 1 or 2 extra beds, or pull-out sofa for 2 pax, which may not be of identical quality and comfort. For singles or double occupancy the
prices are different. All teams must leave a credit card deposit (300€ per team) to the Hotel on the check in. The deposit is refunded on departure, as long
as the rooms are handed over the same way as when you arrived. Check in is after 14:00h. If teams want to check in before 14:00h need to pay one extra
night. Most flights from America will arrive between 6.00am - 11.00 am European time. Please note that most accommodations will only become available
between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm, so it will not generally be possible to check into your room as soon as you arrive at your destination. The rooms must be free
before 12h on the departure day. If teams don’t leave their rooms before 12am, have to pay an extra night

Schools
One classroom per team. The IberCup is the one that decides how many persons will stay per classroom, if teams decide to get the basic price range per
person. The IberCup manages all the room distribution from the teams and any change from the standard classroom distribution must be approved by us.
Minimum one, maximum four leaders per team may stay in the school. Everyone staying at the school has to pay the accommodation cost. Sleeping bag or
beds are not included in the price. You can rent sleeping bags from us with an additional cost per person per week. All teams must leave a deposit (300€ per
team). Must be included together with the last transfer. The deposit is refunded after the tournament through bank transfer, as long as the classrooms are
handed over the same way as when you arrived. General conditions for all accommodation options: 6 days / 5 nights - from Mon 1st Aug to Sat 6th Aug 2016. Arrival with dinner included, departure lunch
included. The Ibercup will only confirm the exact name from the accommodation 1 month before the tournament starts. If a team has a pre-reservation in a
certain accommodation, the team might change accommodation at any time until 1 month before the tournament starts, due to IberCup logistics. No payment
will be refunded if the team cancels a person one month before check in. Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner). The meals, depending on the option but can
be at nearby meal centers, schools or in some special cases at the Hotel. The IberCard and accommodation fee is included in the cost. All the teams need to
pay a team fee. Conditions valid for bookings through IberCup. Availability to confirm on the booking date. Please contact us for prices.
Airport Transfers
Transfers from the airport to the accommodation, is not included in the accommodation package. You can book the airport transfers through the organization. Just one service per team. Teams that travel to the tournament must inform the IberCup on the flight schedule no later than 15 May. If you send
the report after this date the organization does not guarantee this service. Transportation is exclusively for teams, and not for the escorts which reserve
their accommodation without being through the IberCup. There are other airport alternatives to arrive at our tournament. Billund Airport 75km, Aarhus
Airport 200km, Copenhagen Airport 300km, Hamburg Airport (Germany) 300km.

Important Information
Transportation:
All the teams can use their own transportation to the football
fields. All the participating teams may alternatively request a
private bus rental service or the shuttle bus service throughout
the entire week of the tournament. Private Bus during the tournament 12h / day. Drivers can only drive 9 hours in a row per
day. Drivers can change on the day after. Please Make sure you
give the pick up hour information for next day to the bus driver
before he leaves. Extra cost will be charged if the services go
through 12h per day or 200km per day. The IberCup will not
take care of any schedule regarding private bus transportation. The IberCup can put the team in direct contact with a bus
company but will not have any responsibility on scheduling the
routes for the team. Shuttle Bus from accommodation to the
football fields is included in the basic package of participation.
The shuttle bus system only works as a transfer for the matches
not for leisure or to take the teams to the beach. For this services (Leisure and Beach) you must contract other transportation services. Not all the accommodations have the shuttle service. Please confirm with IberCup if your accommodation can
have this service.
Extra Nights:
If you want to stay at the accommodation more days, please let
us know in advance. The rooms must be free before 12h on the
departure day. If teams dont leave their rooms before 12h, have
to pay an extra night. No transportation system is included on
the days before and after the tournament.
Does Not Include:
Personal Extras. Airport Transfers. Match Transfers. Players
insurance for the tournament. Guide services. Deposit fee
(300€ per team). The deposit is refunded on departure, as
long as the rooms are handed over the same way as when you
arrived. Everything that is not properly described as included
in the program.
Hotel for Parents:
For Parents and Friends, hotel accommodation can be arranged
at reasonable prices. Parents or supporters can book the hotel through the IberCup. Booking through the IberCup parents
have access to benefit with special conditions in the tournament. Airport Transfer from Airport to the accommodation is
not included is the accommodation price package.
Extra Orders:
Meal cards for parents or supporters can be ordered when you
make your hotel reservation or through the club. Our Tournament has a catering service that will serve more than 30000
meals throughout the week. Parents or supporters can buy
meal cards through IberCup and eat together with your children in the meal centers for suitable prices. You can add extra
nights to your trip if you wish to.

Football Fields
Vognsbøl Complex
In this complex all playing fields are natural or artificial turf. The main sports complex is located in Vognsbøl and it has
easy access by car or shuttle bus.
In this complex is where is located the stadium “Blue Water Arena”.
Registrations
IberCup will be played following FIFA’s football rules. The limit for team’s applications is 32 teams in each age category.
If the maximum enrollment of teams is reached before the deadline for registrations, registrations will close before the
scheduled date. The first teams that make the registration will have a greater probability to participate. Team`s participation only be assured after all payments confirmed. Note that in previous editions the tournament has not been able to
accept all teams that wished to enter.
Who May Participate?
All clubs, which are members of their FIFA affiliated national associations, are welcome to participate in the IberCup.
The club has to be a member of their FIFA affiliated national association. In countries where football is operated by the
schools we also allow teams affiliated by their school football association.
Competition
The tournament begins with group play. The teams are divided into groups of four or five where all the teams will meet
in a round robin series. Classification will be determined according to points. Victory 3 points; Draw 1 point; Defeat 0
points. The two best teams in each group will advance to Playoff A. The other teams in the group will play the Playoff B.
The playoff matches are played by direct elimination and in case of draw will be decided by penalties according to FIFA’s
regulations.
All players must be insured, both for games and leisure time. Arrival for all teams is at least 1 day before the tournament
first match.

In 2016 more than 100 nordic elite teams will be present at IberCup Scandinavia.
Norway was for the first time in 2 IberCup final
matches with Bodø Glimt Boys U-16 and Stabæk
Girls U-16.
Juventus from Italy is a constant presence on the
IberCup tournaments.
Dispensations
Dispensations will automatically be given to (2) two players per squad who are maximum (1) one
year over aged. Note that you can not use more over aged players by switching them between matches. This dispensations only applies to 11 a-side-categories. For 7 a side, no dispensation will automatically be accepted. Dispensations for 7-a-side teams can be applied by contacting the Iber Cup office.
Girls, can play in boys teams in class Boys U-10, U-11, U-12 and U-13, as long as the regulations for age
categories are followed.
Important Dates
September 1: Online registration form for next year’s tournament opens. When we receive your team
fee we confirm your place in IberCup.
April 1: Final date for registrations. If the maximum enrollment of teams is reached before that date,
registrations will close before the scheduled date.
April 2: 50% payment of the total cost must be payed.
May 1: Last date for the accommodation fee/participation fee for all participants with or without
accommodation. Both leaders and players pay this fee. You can cancel players until June 15, after that
a doctors certificate is required.
June 20: Final date to send the players list.
July 1: Final date to send the rooming list.
July 20: Match schedule is on.
August 1: Arrival day, no matches played.
August 2: The matches begin, Opening Ceremony.
August 4: Leaders Match.
August 5: Playoff B Finals. Playoff A Finals - Boys U-10, U-11, U-12, U-17 and U-19 and Girls U-14,
U-16 and U-18.
August 6: Playoff A Finals - Boys U-13, U-14, U-15 and U-16. Closing ceremony (All participants will
receive a souvenir). Return of the participant teams. In case of unforeseen, Ibercup Organization reserves the right to be able to change this dates.

you along. You are the builder, and you decide if you

Swim Center Denmark:
Tropical water world with a water chute, a wawe
pool, a pool for children and babies, a canal with
countercurrent, rubber beach toys etc. 50 m. competition pool with springboards at the height of 1
m. and 3 m. and a platform at the height of 5 m.
Fun World - play in Esbjerg:
A funcenter where you can find, bowling, go-kart,
restaurant , minigolf - 12 holes, golf simulator and a
race room.
“The Fisheries” and the sealarium
You can go exploring in the Fisheries and Maritime
Museum all summer. You will enjoy watching the
seals in the sealarium and the attractive fish and
attention-grabbing animals in the aquaria, or learn
more about man and the sea in the displays on fisheries, navigation, and nature below the sea surface.
Man meets the Sea
Visitors arriving in Esbjerg from the sea are greeted by Svend Wiig Hansen’s monumental sculpture
“Man meets the Sea”, which was raised on the occasion of Esbjerg celebrating its 100th anniversary
as an independent municipality in 1994.
