The Arizona State Fair is a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association and this show will be governed by and run under the latest
revised OFFICIAL Show Rules of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc. All prizes will be awarded strictly in accordance with the
American Standard of Perfection.
IMPORTANT: Read carefully all GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
ENTRIES
1. Entries will close earlier if capacity is reached. See General Rules Entry Requirements for additional explanation. Enter online or mail entries to
Arizona State Fair, Rabbit Entry Department, 1826 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85007.
2. ENTRY FEE of $3.00 per animal and $6.00 for meat pens is required and must accompany official entry form. An additional entry fee of $2.00
must be paid if animal is to compete in FUR Division. Make checks payable to “Arizona State Fair.”
3. Entry must include breed, variety, sex, age, and ear tattoo. Entry forms not properly filled out will be returned.
4. Due to limited space, entries will be accepted until capacity is reached. After that time, entries will be returned to exhibitor.
5. SUBSTITUTIONS will only be permitted under the following conditions: breed, variety, age and sex of the animal substituted must be the same
as the animal withdrawn. Changes involving different breed, variety, age or sex will NOT be permitted, NO EXCEPTIONS.
ELIGIBILITY
6. All animals must have permanent earmarks, in left ear, same to correspond with mark on entry blank, or they will not be judged.
ARRIVALS
7. Check-in time will begin on Tuesday, October 18th at 1:00 pm and all rabbits must be cooped by 9:00 pm. Exhibitors will bring their exhibits to
the Agriculture Center Building through the McDowell Gate (17th Avenue and McDowell Rd). The fair is open to the public and vehicles will
not be allowed to drive to the Ag Center. Exhibitors will be required to cart and/or carry their cages into the Ag Center.
8. Any rabbit with a contagious disease will not be accepted at check in.
JUDGING
9. Judging will begin 8:30 am and continue the following day as needed.
CAGES
10. Plastic cable ties will be available for securing the cages after judging.
11. No for sale signs may be placed on or around any cage/pen/stall. Only one business card per coop will be allowed.
12. No one will be allowed to remove any animals from coops without the permission of the Superintendent or Assistants.
CARE
13. All animals will be inspected each morning. Any contracting disease will be placed in quarantine. Animals will be disposed of immediately if
they die at the show.
RELEASE
14. Checkout time will be according to schedule posted. All exhibits must be claimed between the posted hours. The Superintendent will not be

responsible for any unclaimed exhibits after that time. All exhibits MUST be removed from the building by 10pm, Sunday, October 23 .
15. Arrangements will be made for exhibitors to enter the Fairgrounds through the McDowell Gate to checkout their exhibits. Use receipt for
entrance to pick up exhibits and obtain release slip from Superintendent for releasing of entries.
PASSES, PERMITS AND VEHICLES
16. Any exhibitor paying entry fees of $30.00 (10 animals) or more will be entitled to five (5) single day passes ONLY. Any additional passes must
be purchased at the gate.
PREMIUM AWARDS
17. An exhibitor may enter more than two animals in any one CLASS but will receive no more than two premium monies or ribbons.
18. Premiums are paid ONLY from the records of the judge’s books. Ribbons, tags or cards have no value as to payment. Superintendents must
see that all awards are properly entered therein.
CLASSIFICATIONS
19. Entries improperly classified and identified will be transferred to the appropriate class.
20. It is important that the division be designated on your Official Entry Form.
21. Breeds having a working standard in the A.B.R.A. will be eligible to compete. The most popular breeds are listed as Divisions. Please enter
breeds that are not listed as Divisions as Division 29 (All Other Breeds) and list the name of the breed on the entry form.

SPECIAL RULES - READ CAREFULLY - IMPORTANT: Read carefully all GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS.
ENTRIES
1. Entry form must specify a Youth Entry.
2. Exhibitor’s Birthdate must be on the entry form.
3. All animals must be the property of exhibitor for a minimum of 30 days prior to opening day of the Fair.
4. Entry Form must be signed by Club Leader, FFA Advisor or Officer of Recognized Breed Association. For online entries, please submit
signature form and payment (if not paid online) within five days of the entry deadline.
5. ENTRY FEE of $3.00 for single rabbits; an additional $2.00 for Fur Class entries; and $6.00 for Meat Pen entries is required and must
accompany official entry form. Showmanship entry fee is $6.00 and must be on Youth entry form. Showmanship is only open to youth who have
animals entered in the fair. See Special Youth Contests for rules. Make checks payable to “Arizona State Fair.”
6. Rabbits entered in this division will not be eligible in the open class. If exhibitor desires to enter in the open rabbit department, separate
exhibits must be entered.
7. Entries will be accepted until a 150-entry capacity has been reached.
8. Rabbits will compete with each other within their breeds, sex and age groups.
9. All rabbits must have the owner’s tattoo mark in the left ear.
10. Entry form must include the breed, variety, sex and age group.
11. All rabbits shall be judged by the standards set forth in the manual of the A.R.B.A. Classification as set forth in the Open Rabbit Department
“ORC” will apply to the Youth Rabbit Department.
