Adding your new 9-digit LTL
shipping account number to
FedEx Ship Manager
®
To improve your service, reliability, and security and
reduce the potential for fraud, we’ve changed your
8-digit Less Than Truckload shipping account number
to a 9-digit number. All you have to do is update your
account number in FedEx Ship Manager® and at
fedex.com. Once you update your number, you’ll be
connected to a world of powerful features, such as
tracking and reporting. Plus the 9-digit number makes
your LTL shipping eligible for My FedEx Rewards.

Click on the Configuration drop down menu.

Select Accounts.

Under the Installed Accounts Tab, look for the 8 digit account in
the LTL Accounts section and click Edit.

Update the account number in the account field at the top.
Click Save in the lower right hand corner.

Follow these simple steps to add an account number to FedEx Ship Manager at fedex.com.

From the Ship tab in the top navigation of fedex.com, select Generate
Bill of Lading under Freight Shipments.

To add an Account not listed in the drop-down field, select Add an
Account in the Account Information section.

Click the Select a FedEx account from your online profile. If your Account
Number is not listed in the drop down box, select Enter a nine-digit
FedEx account number and enter the account number in the open field.
Once complete, select Continue.

Complete the shipping address section by entering all required fields.
Ensure the shipping address associated with the account is correct and
select Continue.

Your account registration is now complete. Select Start Using FedEx
Ship Manager to return to the Generate Bill of Lading screen.

Your newly enabled account will appear in the Select an account field
under Account Information on the Generate Bill of Lading screen.
