Day 1 - Depart NZ ex Christchurch or Auckland on Singapore Airlines
Arrive at Singapore Airport late afternoon and check into transit hotel for 12 hour booking. Luggage will be
checked through to Hanoi.
Day 2 - Hanoi arrival. Welcome dinner. Half day city tour (D)
Morning flight from Singapore to Hanoi. Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, we will be met by a guide and driver
and transferred to Hotel for check in.
In the afternoon we will visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum. Enjoy the architectural and historical
aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting place and Ho Chi Minh’s house close by. On the other side of the
Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049; the structure has become
important symbol for Hanoi. Visit the Quan Thanh Temple( Taoist, dating from the Ly Dynasty ) and
Buddhist Tran Quoc Pagoda on West lake (One of the oldest Pagoda in Vietnam).

Day 3 - Pick up and transfer to KING'S ISLAND golf club. (B)

Kings’ Island is an international standard course located 36 km west of Hanoi, and 45 km from Noi Bai
International Airport. The club, which is located in the Kings’ Valley on 350 hectares along the shores of
Dong Mo Lake, became the first 36 hole facility in Northern Vietnam. Kings’ Island has two 18 hole
courses; the Lakeside Course opened in 1993 and the Mountainview Course opened in 2004. The
Lakeside Course was designed by Robert McFarland and Mountain View course by Peter Rogers from
Australia. Access to the course is by boat.
After golf we transfer back to Hanoi where we have a free evening to explore

An hour and a half’s drive from Hanoi on the way to Halong Bay, Chi Linh Star Golf and Country Club is a
truly international standard golf course. The facility is spread over 324 hectares in a magnificent valley
nestling beside a large lake and surrounded by 100 hectares of rolling forest covered hills. The completed
project will offer two 18-hole golf courses, a five-star hotel, 300 villas and a wide range of sporting and
recreational facilities.
Opened in 2003, the Chi Linh Star Golf and Country Club has established a name for itself as the premier
golf club in the north of Vietnam. Designed by Australian Independent Golf Course Services, using the
latest technologies and Turf grass, the golf course is indeed a worthy masterpiece. The club house sits on
the top of a hill, capturing a panoramic view over the golf course, boasting a remarkable landscape. The
immaculately conditioned fairways, fast greens, strategic bunkers, together with the large lake ensure the

The Chi Linh Star Golf Course hosted the Carlsberg Masters in 2004 and the Vietnam Johnnie Walker
Classic series in 2005.
Day 5: Transfer Hanoi-Halong Cruise tour. Overnight on boat (B,L,D)
7:30 am: Pick you up from at your hotel. Leave Hanoi by road for Halong Bay, UNESCO World Heritage site.
Enjoy the journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta, the scenery of rice fields, water buffalo
and everyday Vietnamese village life.
11:00: Transfer to Tuan Chau port
12.00: Transfer to Halong Emotion Boat by tender
12.15: Welcome cocktail – cruise briefing, safety instructions
12.30: Check in the cabin
13.00: Vietnamese lunch served on board, while cruising towards Bai Tu Long Bay
16.15: Explore the mystery of Sung Sot cave. one of the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay.
17.12: Stop at Titop Beach, enjoy one of optional activities:

Day 6: Cruise tour continued. Check out the cruise back to Hanoi for flight to Danang. Transfer for check
in and Overnight in Hoian ancient town.(B, L)
6-6.30: Practice Tai Chi on the Sundeck
6.30-8.00: Start your day with a light breakfast
8.15- 9h30: A fantastic cruise on the bay, passing Dinh Huong Island, Fighting Cock Island, Dog Island. Arrive
in Ba Hang Floating fishing village, a peaceful village. Visit local houses, fish farms, schools and chat with
friendly fisher men.
9:45: Check out of cabin and leave luggage outside
10:00- 11:00. Have brunch and clear bills.
11.30. Back to the Tourist Wharf
Check out and transfer to Hanoi airport for our flight to Danang. Upon arrival in Danang we will be met by
our guide and transferred to our hotel .

When Greg Norman checked on progress of the Dunes course in 2010 he said, “The fact is, you'd be doing a
very poor job to make a boring course out of site like this”. Certainly Mother Nature had a gigantic hand in
the formation of the layout that evokes an experience often found in seaside courses in the British Isles.
But make no mistake, this is Vietnam and one look at the stunning par 3 16th hole back-dropped by as it is
by traditional long tailed fishing boats that troll the South China Sea, and you will know where you are.

Today we will have a chance to explore the old river port of Hoi An with it's charming Old Town Centre.
Here we will visit Thong Loi Fine Arts and Handcraft, famous for it silk embroidery and exquisitely tailored
garments in both eastern and western styles. Garments can be produced the same day and this is a great
chance to have a quality item made to measure for a very reasonable price. We will also have a guided
walking tour through the Old Town Centre giving a chance to learn about the rich history and various
cultures who influenced the town's development through the centuries.

Day 11 - Flight Danang to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Half day City tour. Welcome dinner on luxury
wooden cruise along Saigon river (Bonsai Cruise). Overnight in Saigon (BD)
In the afternoon we will take a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City from downtown Saigon to Chinatown. We will
learn of its history and culture with stops at Reunification Palace (Ex-Presidential Palace) , the War Museum
and the Jade Emperor Pagoda. We will also see Notre Dame Cathedral (built in 1877), the General Post
Office and the Saigon Art Gallery.
In the evening we will take a dinner cruise on the bustling Saigon River on board a luxury wooden cruise
boat. During the cruise we will be entertained by a number of well performed musical segments reflecting
the rich diversity of cultures of the region.

Today we journey deep into the heart of the Mekong Delta, known as Vietnam’s rice bowl and arrive at
Vinh Long, the capital of this province. Visiting the traditional floating market of Cai Be, we experience its
excitement as we walk through orchards of mango, coconut and banana. Continuing on, we paddle in a
sampan to the beautiful Binh Hoa Phuoc Island and sample more exotic fruit of the region before driving
back to Saigon.

Day 13 - Visit to Cuchi Tunnel. Back and overnight in Saigon (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we venture about 75Km northwest of Saigon to Cu Chi, an area that played an
important role in the wars. This amazing tunnel system was used by Vietnamese guerillas operating against
the US military forces and was initially started in 1945 during the French colonial times. Before driving back
to the hotel , we explore the underground tunnels at different levels, see some of the shelters and sample
the typical guerrilla food.

National Administration of Tourism and Vietnam Golf Magazine in 2007. It has also been favourably
evaluated by Members, Guests and Visitors who have been playing Long Thanh golf course for many
years. The Club is situated about 40 minutes from the center of Saigon and boast 36 pristine holes, and a
magnificent club house situated on a hill between the two courses with wonderful views over the course
and surrounding countryside. Featuring rolling fairways and large undulating greens, with many bunkers
and water hazards to catch errant shots; the Long Thanh Golf Club is the epitome of golf in Asia.

out of the existing woodland with minimal land movement, leaving you feel that the land was always
destined to be a golf course, so natural is the lay-out and design.
The West course, designed by Taiwanese architect Chen King Shih, first opened in December 1994, and the
East Course opened in 1997, was designed by Lee Trevino. The Par 72 Championship Course hosted the
Vietnam Open (Asian PGA Tour Event) in both 1995 and 1997.

Day 16 – Free at leisure. Farewell dinner in Saigon (B, D)
On previous tours many people have expressed disappointment that there wasn't more free time in Saigon
at the end of the tour to further explore this exciting city. This free day is to cater for those needs and allow
time to return to something you may have seen earlier and wish to revisit, or check out a particular interest
the tour has not covered. It also allows more time for shopping and there are plenty of bargains to fill any
space in the suitcase.
At 5.30pm we will gather in the rooftop bar at Palace Saigon for pre dinner drinks before heading out to
Ngon Restaurant at 6.30pm for our farewell dinner.
