celebrating its 50th birthday, and
throughout this iconic year, MK Council
and city wide we are celebrating the past,
present and future of Milton Keynes,
sharing this amazing place to live, work
and visit.
We are creating shared memories and
showing off the city’s history, landscape,
infrastructure, culture and people
through a year long programme of
activities: MK50!
MK50 will provide an inclusive
programme of events and activities on all
scales, enabling people of all ages,
abilities and backgrounds to be part of
the celebrations.

Welcome to your guide to 50 Walks for MK50, a joint project by Milton Keynes Council
and The Parks Trust to create an exciting, fun programme of walks to celebrate
Milton Keynes’ 50th birthday in 2017.
There are a wide variety of walks available; suitable for all ages and abilities. Walks are
located across the city, with the difficulty level indicated in each walk description;
the more boots, the more challenging it is. Booking is required for many of the walks;
please see the walk description for further details. Feel free to bring along friends and
family - we just ask that any children are accompanied by an adult.

beautiful landscapes.
Please note all walkers take part at their own risk; you will be required to sign in upon
your arrival at your walk and sign a walker registration form, detailing health
information leaders should be aware of.
Come prepared for the great British weather - please ensure you wear proper clothing
and footwear, and carry adequate refreshments for the duration of your chosen walk.
