The NNC is proud to present a very special book in time for Christmas . It has been written
specially by Mary Angell to aid Fund Raising for the Club and tells the story of two very
brave plush Newfoundlands , Benny and Billy, and their big adventure in Newfoundland.
Benny is the sensible one, who tries to keep young Billy safe and out of trouble. He is the
one wearing his Newfoundland tartan neckerchief in which he keeps his money. Billy is
silly but always relies on Benny when in a spot of bother.
Young or old, if you love Newfoundlands you will love this book. It was all photographed
in Newfoundland this summer so the setting is totally authentic. Join Billy and Benny on
their big adventure and help the Club too.
Join Billy and Benny as they go whale and iceberg watching off Twillingate and Billy nearly
drowns , visit the Matthew ( the replica of John Cabot’s ship) at Bonavista, and the
wonderful lighthouses of Newfoundland. Children will especially adore this book for the
wonderful photos and charming story. Billy (from St John’s) and Benny (from Twillingate)
have been adopted as the mascots of the NNC so you will see them at many Club events.
