Please notice that MacroVIEW DM auto-sizing tool is strictly related to the calibration
done by the operator and not controlled by the software of the unit. For this reason,
sample measurements obtained with MacroVIEW DM auto-sizing tool are NOT TO BE
CONSIDERED AS DIAGNOSTIC values.
It is therefore necessary to carry out such measurements by either positioning a ruler
by the sample (see picture below) or using a caliper to obtain a diagnostic value of the
tumor growth, lesion extension etc…
Before measurement with MacroVIEW DM system, please make the calibration of the
system (see Image measure calibration). If the calibration is not properly performed
and if the measurement control using a secondary measurement tool (like ruler,
caliper) is not carried out, the sample measurements obtained with MacroVIEW DM
auto-sizing tools are NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS DIAGNOSTIC values.

Move to the second PC, insert the external support (USB key), open the MacroVIEW DM software, press
“Ctrl+Alt+D” to import the settings (*) and then retrieve the path where the file is stored.
(*) It is necessary that also the second PC, where the above mentioned settings are
saved, is provided with a MacroVIEW DM complete software package in order to
operate all functions, and not run only as Viewer. For purchasing extra licenses,
contact the local representative or the manufacturer.

MacroVIEW DM AS VIEWER MULTISTATIONS
4.1. HOW TO INSTALL THE MacroVIEW DM AS VIEWER
MacroVIEW DM Viewer allows simple retrieval of MacroVIEW DM images, using either barcode or manual
entry of patient identifying number. Images can only be viewed and printed (generating report as explained in
the previous chapter), but no modifications i.e. annotations is possible.
To carry out any modification on images (such as add notes, section and so on), an
extra license of MacroVIEW DM software must be available. For this, contact your local
distributor. MacroVIEW DM Viewer is the same software installed on the MacroVIEW
DM unit and it does not need a license. Therefore, user is authorized to install
MacroVIEW DM as Viewer software on any PC.
MacroVIEW DM Viewer can be installed on any personal computer as follows:
1)
Use the MacroVIEW DM CD and open the MacroVIEW DM folder. Click on Set Up installer and
follow the instructions to proceed with the installation of the MacroVIEW DM software.
2)
Should this message appear during installation: “Microsoft Framework 2.0 not installed”: open the
CD, open the folder “Framework” and click on “DotNetFx” and then again on “DotNetFx” installer and
follow the instructions.
4.2. HOW TO MAKE AVAIBLE MacroVIEW DM IMAGES IN A LOCAL AREA
NETWORK
As MacroVIEW DM is a mobile system, the saved cases will be stored into the PC
panel. At the end of every session, we strongly recommend to copy the cases’ folder
into the server, that should be automatically backuped. In paragraph 4.2.1 you can find
the procedure to share the cases with a local network. In paragraph 4.2.2 you can find
the procedure to connect a Viewer PC to the cases stored on the server.
