It’s never too early to introduce your child to a new language; the earlier the better. Children
possess the remarkable capacity to learn multiple languages simultaneously. However this
window of learning decreases by the age of 6 or 7 as the brain grows. So the time is NOW to
expose your child to an additional language. Take advantage of La Piazza di Carolina Italian
after-school classes for preschoolers, and elementary students, Westchester’s leading Italian
program for kids. In a themed centered curriculum, students will learn Italian through
interactive, dynamic methods that include music, art, story-telling, puppetry, dance, technology
and cooking (if kitchen is available) with a qualified teacher of Italian.

hands-on, engaging and educational adventure for boys and girls alike. Best of all, each week
the children will leave class with their own tailor-made projects to show family and friends.
These projects will be a true source of accomplishment and joy. New projects are featured each

Soccer

3:15 - 4:15pm
This program focuses on beginner level soccer skills for players ages 4-6. At this stage we
teach the fundamentals, focusing on eye-foot coordination. This is established by creating an
environment where children can learn while having fun, without the conventional drills that keep
young players off the soccer field. We focus on the practical skills of the game, educate players
on the rules of soccer, and emphasize good sportsmanship. The idea is to give children the
confidence and joy of playing the game of soccer, even if they currently have little or no
knowledge of it. We always aim to have fun and maintain a safe environment while teaching
new skills and getting exercise.

Spring Cooking and Baking Class

Our menu will include apple pie bites, ricotta spinach Stromboli, brown sugar banana cake, Irish

Mother’s Day. The children will learn how to use pastry bags and their imaginations to create a
delightful dessert. As always, there will be a few surprise recipes added. Since we are doing our
share to reduce waste, weekly paper recipe instructions will now be on our website –
lovekidscookery.com. We ask that you do not tell the children the recipe. Part of the fun is
showing them the ingredients and having them guess what they are making! Each child will
receive a cookbook at the end of the session.
