Fosteringcreativityandteachingcritical thinkingskillsarefarmoreimportantthana testscorewhichweallknowcanbeskewed fromonedaytothenext,dependingon howthesestudentsfeelthatday. Justbecauseweareretireesdoesn’tmean thatwehavedroppedoffthegrid.Wehave grandchildren,neighbors,friendsetc.who areaffectedbywhatthelegislaturedoes witheducation.Wewillalwaysbe educatorsandbeinterestedineducation. Manyofusvolunteerintheschoolsand mentoryoungteachers.Wepresent innovativeGrantseachyeartohelpwith classroomprojectsthatotherwisewould notbeaffordable-yes,weknowhowmuch ofourownmoneywespentjusttoinspire students. So…pleasepayattentiontowhatour electedofficialsaredoinginTallahassee andWashington.Itmaynotaffectyou immediatelytodaybutitwillinthefuture.
