President’s Message by Paul Beach
First of all, I would like to thank all our 2013 S.I.W. Club officers. I appreciate
all your hard work and dedication. We do have one officer stepping down, Club
Secretary Janet Jacobi, again Janet…thank you. Filling that position will be
Ann Bishop. Welcome Ann, I know Ann will do a great job. Also, a “Thank
You” goes out to our S.I.W. Board of Directors. They really worked hard
through some tough problems to straighten out our by-laws and Club
Constitution Another job well done.
We had another great S.I.W. Club Awards Banquet. Well…except for the
weather; rain, sleet, and snow! Sorry about the winter weather and that so
many of you were not able to attend. It is another Club event that can’t be
cancelled and rescheduled. I hope everyone understands. Because of Phyllis
Lewis’s great turn out for her “can goods ride” one week later, there was a
large number of attendees there that did not make it to the banquet so
it was like having a 2013 S.I.W. Awards Banquet “Part II”. Thank you Phyllis!
As we start a new season of cycling in 2014, don’t forget that your Club dues
are due! Especially those who could not make the banquet where the Club
makes it convenient for members to pay their dues. Because of the bad
weather and so many members not able to attend, we are extending the due
date for your 2014 dues. Please check the web site to make sure of the due
date. Thanks again for your understanding.

I would like to thank everyone who donated food this year for the
local food pantries.
The reason for this season is giving. This year, December 2012 to
December 2013 our club has donated over 1000 pounds of food to
pantries in Clark and Floyd Counties.
